Okay, @neolithicsheep.bsky.social is off to pick up more animals, so for the next couple days it's me, three dogs, a cat, and a few dozen irascible sheep. At least one of them is still pregnant. I zapped myself on an electric fence yesterday. This should go just fine.

My mother told me I had much the same reaction when my little brother was born.
Sheep don't like eating hay they have walked on.
Apparently they can taste their greasy footprints.
Hay on the ground/floor is bedding. Might be eaten.
Hay in a manger or a hay bag, that's food. Might have some of it fall to the floor while taking bites.
Anyway sheep are grazers. They eat hay off the ground fine. They are currently mad because they want alfalfa and not grass hay.
All the lambs are eating, because they are Good. #amateurShepherdess
