Tell me something good. Some sort of positive news. Big, small, personal, whatever it is, I just want some good vibes. I have a wonderful medical procedure today I need to be distracted from. ππ

I'm getting a "wonderful," simple procedure done today. Reminded me how important it is we all take good care of ourselves. Thanks for all the well wishes!
very important. for many reasons i neglected to have the needed one for a was tooth. it spread infection to my bones, and after much pain and suffering, i now have no teeth. itβs always better to handle things while they are small. health is your greatest treasure.
Someone close to me is getting married next year and is looking at dog friendly venues. Did you there was such a thing? Complete with their own person to take care of them for the entire wedding! I feel so out of date.
Wishing you great results from your procedure! And my good news? 8 years since my breast cancer treatment ended. No evidence of disease. Enjoy the day and life!ππ
Ah, my friend. I had mine yesterday. I'm grateful. Please spread the word that the new guidelines say that the first procedure must be had at age 40. Colonoscopies save lives by catching cancers at early, treatment and curable stages.
Regardless, with all the shenanigans going on⦠we still live in the most peaceful prosperous time in human history⦠we have achieved a lot as a human species⦠and hopefully this will be a temporary back pedal.
My daughter, who had a late ADHD diagnosis and two years ago thought she was stupid and couldn't handle college, has been accepted to 6 schools so far, all with merit scholarships.
You will be totally fine!! The worst part of the procedure is the prepping for it. You have got this. Sharing a cute picture of my GSD for positive vibes
Hi Scott, I hope all goes well with your procedure today. Sending you this pic of one of my cupcake bouquets to cheer you up. Yes, they really are cupcakes.
As long as its under anaesthesia ... my first one was without anaesthesia .. :( second one with ... and then finally the colectomy under anaethesia (fortunately) performed by a Davinci Xi robot.
My 2nd grade grandson just finished reading the 7th Harry Potter book and has more AR points than anyone in his PreK-12th grade small school. Iβm pretty proud of him!
A neighbor came and removed the giant tree, and all the small trees it brought down with it, from my yard today just because theyβre a good neighbor. Now I can work on fixing the fence. Am excited to be able to pay it forward when the opportunity rises.
My uncle has long term COVID and was hospitalized with a respiratory infection this week. My mom started a prayer line on Facebook and 100's of people replied.
Now we're not big prayers but my uncle is feeling better & I have to admit it brought a smile to my cynical mind.
Be well.
Today is the Anniversary of UNICEF a UN program devoted to improving the health, nutrition and education and general welfare of children around the world was established in December 11 1946.
Surrender to the expert hands of your caretakers. Visualize everything going just perfectly, your body healing exactly as it needs to, so you can be back in action to do your soul's work when you're ready to do so. Sending much love. π
Just lit up the annual baby food jar Christmas tree. My husband won it at a tree auction for a small town senior center. He had imbibed and bid over $60 - no one else bid. He carried that expensive tree home on his lap on the plane. My dadβs friend who made it kept saying I would have made him one.
Thanks. Afraid the maker is gone. He was a cool dude. My dadβs good friend. Illiterate, but so smart. Fixed school buses and other mechanical stuff. He once got a hydraulic man lifter and I read him the manual on how to turn it on.
When you've had enough back pain and you find out you've got degenerative disc disease, the thought of having needles pierce your spine sounded scary - but when the pain gets too much, the procedure is welcome - that's happening tomorrow. Grateful for Medicare!
I put the shot off for quite some time. Finally did it! Only slight discomfort due to topical numbing before needle, didn't feel anything on the shot itself. And it has helped tremendously! You got this! π₯°
After being sick for almost 2 weeks I finally called my doctor and I will be seeing her in about 2 hours. My children call that good news π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
I just wanted folks to know that dogs can take Tylenol for arthritis pain. All the websites say dogs can't take it but apparently that is changing - at least for old dogs. But ppl should ask their vet,of course
Yes, he takes Gabapentin too. But it didn't provide enough pain relief. With Tylenol plus Gabapentin, he's doing so much better. He's 15 & I know he's at the end of his life. But I don't want him to be in pain.
My mom and dad took me to New York City to see the flower drum song. I am a citizen. Iβm outside Miss Juanita Hall, who sang Bally high stopped and looked at me and explained what a beautiful child. What a day.
Had a knee replacement 2 weeks ago, getting staples out on Friday. Have feeling pretty good. And the bonus is I live in Canada so it is all covered by our universal health system (even the physio) Good luck with your procedure today.
Fergie was brutally attacked by neighbor's vicious dog last Spring in which her backside was completely splayed open. But after 2 surgeries, several follow-up trips to vet and tons of TLC, she is 100% healed. And even if she did put on a few extra lbs., she's now running and playing like before.
I had surgery last week and my job made an accommodation to let me keep working at full pay rather than make me stay home for 3 months, losing my mind.
Decorating my 86 y/o mother's house with all her favorite Christmas treasures. The holidays always bring a spark of joy to her life! No place like home for the holidays!
Okay, something good.
My house is clean, I have contributed decently large amounts to helping those less fortunate than me, and I am getting a kitten next week.
It's well documented online, but you will not feel any pain during the procedure. You will be awake and worried you'll move your eye at the wrong time. No, it's ok. No different than "look at the light" for a normal exam. After, there's irritation like an eye lash for about a week. Better every day.
So true. To break the monotony, I would frequently reply "My name is Inigo Montoya. You kill my father. Prepare to die." It always made the nurses laugh and then we both felt better.
Iβm flying to Massachusetts Sunday to spend Christmas with my oldest and his family. I havenβt seen my grandchildren in over a year, so Iβm very excited.
I have gotten involved with a local symphony to help them raise funds. Music brings SO MUCH JOY to so many people. It is incredible to see musicians play live, with the youngest, oldest and everyone in between happy with what is going on. Best wishes and prayers for you.
You are going to have the easiest medical procedure today that your doctor has ever done! Itβs gonna go off without a hitch! Youβre going to recover easily and youβre going to live a long healthy happy life.
My son and his wife are pregnant with twins!!! Grand babies #5 and #6. Just found out at Thanksgiving. They are the reason I am fighting so hard to preserve the rights and democracy I have enjoyed.
Had our 1 year walk-thru with our builder rep and he found an issue with the roof we didnβt know about from a storm and will have it taken care of on their dime. Nice!
I read that you had a fun procedure today and hope all is well. As for good newsβ¦ we are starting a three month road trip through the southwest to rediscover the America we love and why we love it. We will support local businesses all along the way and celebrate local cultures! πππππππ
I had many clients apply for
SSDI. It does take a while to go through the process. Many people are denied the first time.
If you are denied, find an attorney who deals with this. Make sure the attorney takes it on a contingency basis. If approved, they would go back to original date you applied.
You can apply up to 3 months before your b'day. The first check will come the month after you live through that month and if you apply early it will be there. Born in August - first check is Oct. for Sept.
My son is going to play guitar today at an old people's home. Others from his class will be singing Christmas carols. That should bring some joy to them all.
I just saved this little doggy. She was dumped, sheβs been βover bredβ, she doesnβt have teeth, she was 10 pounds underweight and she had mange.
Sheβs safe, warm and the sweetest. Meet Betsy Ross ππ
Scott, a friendly reminder that you're not living in Shakespeare's time, when NO ONE could treat you for whatever it is that you're suffering from in 2024.
Not all of us are lawyers or politicians, but some of us are taking action. Getting our finances in order to weather whatever happens after January, writing and calling Senators or Reps, planning to majorly expand our garden next year to rely even less on MAGA farmers and Trump's economy. Etc.
My approach will be to save as much money as possible and live more minimally. We are working on finding "left-aligned" sources for our essential food and household items such as grocery stores but also local friends who might grow things that we need but don't grow or have space for.
We also plan to preserve more food to save $ over the next few years. One way to do that is perhaps find a second fridge/freezer or find a like-minded person in your area who has a freeze dryer and offer to pay them a bit to use their machine. Freeze dried food can last years.
This doesn't have to mean living like it's a zombie apocalypse, but the idea is to set things up to not be so at the mercy of Trump, his tariffs, Musk's promise that there will be "hardship," and having to rely on MAGA farmers and grocery store owners. Food is a big focus area.
Other areas to prepare for IMO are things like household or vehicle repairs and maintenance. In our area, it seems like 99% of technicians and service companies are MAGA. I'm looking for ways to be less dependent upon them to keep my house and vehicle in good shape over the next several years.
If it were me, I would still go. Consider it self care and trauma therapy and go make memories. You'll still be spending money, but at least some of it will be going to people in Europe instead of further propping up Trump's economy.
I havenβt planned it yet but I have concepts of a planβ¦ returning to a place weβre familiar with. Thanks for the good conversation and food for thought.
I saw 3 Snowy Owls at dusk the other day in a cove near my house. Females, so with dark specks on the white and big yellow eyes. They each turned their heads 3/4 round and looked at me casually, and I looked at them then kept walking.
First, Iβm female.
Second, I have one duck and two dogs.
Third, I happen to love furry and cranky, but I already have one at home.
Nice to me you lol.
Went to a creative twist on Dirty Santa last night. It was Democratic Style. Gifts had to come from local businesses owned by: people of color, women, LGBTQIA+ & fair trade. This not only boosted sales & recognition for these businesses but also fostered a sense of community & social responsibility.
I'm a colorectal cancer survivor, living the life I dreamed. I applaud you for doing this medical procedure, which I avoided for so long, it was almost too late.
I missed our local Luminaria event last year because Iβd just had knee surgery. One year out, I and my new knee will be snowshoeing along the lighted woodland paths and roasting marshmallows over a bonfire. Best of luck with your procedure!
Ferals come around in time. Love and patience go a long way. My gray guy was like that...still cautious with others, but sweet and trusting w/me. It took a looong time.
I hope we can share stories of our ginger journeys. Waiting for word on my adoption.
"I replaced the HVAC filters!"
"Oh, you did that last month...oh, it's written on the calendar... oh, & you dated the actual filters, where... oh, right ON the filters ... oh, well they did look pretty clean..."
We're gonna kill each other when he retires, aren't we?
He's been home on PTO throughout the last week, so ... I'm not so sure π
Is the washer running?
Hubs, Yes
Why?
Hubs, I'm using it
But I'm running the dishwasher
Hubs, And?
The washer fills based on weight, but the dishwasher fills/re-fills based on a timer
Hubs, Oh ... wait ... what?
Positive thing for Scott......I am still here, even though things seem too overwhelming to handle, I am making the choice to tackle whatever I can, to help my people see that democracy is the only destination that will welcome all of us. You give me strength through knowledge that I am not alone.
I was up all night worried about my crying dog's "injury, illness, or complaining" (we have no emergency vet nearby) to get up finding him wagging his tail, standing on top of me wondering if I could feed him early, by early he meant right now. Huge sigh of relief.
all three of my grown kiddos are thriving, happy and healthy when
they had every single reason not to be
but here we are and i am grateful every single second of every single day
The positive news is even though I personally donβt know you, your words and thoughts shows youβre an amazing decent honest person. Youβll get through this - good luck and LFG!
After over four decades of depression, I have had two years of it in remission! For me that's the biggest thing ever. Wanting to live and feeling joyπ₯°
My son and his wife are expecting their second child after many years of fertility issues, without any medical intervention! Their 2 year old miracle baby will not be an only child.
Prayers for a safe procedure. Sending positive vibes.
The guy who runs this building got in touch with me and wants to buy a bunch of my posters. Iβm not famous or well known, so this is very exciting for me. He even said he put on a UFO conference there lately. π

I composed a new piece of music and Iβm almost done recording it! In other news, I get to work from home today, on the book Iβm writing for a client. The UT Vols menβs basketball team are #1. Also, it just started snowing.
Having lunch the other day & noticed a dad with his about 6 year old little boy. They were having a great time, laughing, joking, making funny faces, enjoying their day together.
Reminded me of times w/ my dad and later my son and made me think, ok maybe things aren't so bad.
I requested yesterday follow up from congress oversight committee about the lack of supervision from doj to monitor health insurers quality of service. It's a big scam, and I would think they don't want another CEO mia?
My daughter, a current Paramedic, is working full time and going to nursing school full time just passed the hardest semester in the program. She will Graduate in May with her nursing degree to add to her Paramedic, EMT, Firefighter and MBA. I girl has to do what's she's gotta do to survive.

If you're lucky you'll have propofol as the anesthesia & therefore you'll wake up feeling like you've spent the day at a spa. Good luck!
My daughter, who had a late ADHD diagnosis and two years ago thought she was stupid and couldn't handle college, has been accepted to 6 schools so far, all with merit scholarships.
This has been amazing for her self esteem.
Wishing you a quick and painless procedure.

Something good. There are thousands of people here sending you positive vibes.
I didn't DO it, water makes my skin bubble like a mogwai.
But I could have.
πJ/K It's an important diagnostic tool and we all need to get them in accordance with our personal physician's advice.
Oh, and donnie trump is going to die soon :)
That should make EVERYONES DAY BETTER!
