Sure, it shows owners that you’re united in your demands, and gives them a taste of how things will be like without you. It also shows them that they can wait you out and you’ll come back.

Speaking of which, remember when "owning a major newspaper" was considered the hallmark of a rich industrialist who needed to be taken down a notch?
Even if the WaPo staff are working for a shameless propaganda rag owned by an oligarch, they should at least be able to soak said oligarch for a little extra.
