It’s a shame they didn’t keep the scene with Perrin revealing his loyalty to Mon. It would have given his character a lot more depth and his behavior still would have worked as a cover to maintain appearances.

I’m making it part of my headcanon that Perrin was covering for Mon. Even if she was keeping him in the dark, we saw enough of who he was to know he was too smart to be oblivious to what was happening.
It certainly would have given more meaning to his reaction as he's watching her crash out at the wedding. As such it feels more like he worried about appearances and hoping she doesn't embarrass herself as a senator instead of worrying about her and her struggle.
This was a theory my friend had been pushing since last season and we were both a little bummed that it was never revealed to be the case. That it was at least considered was pleasing to both of us.

I saw something saying it wasn’t even a deleted scene, just an idea they had early on during writing.
But yeah idk how I feel — his inclusion in the final montage felt a bit random, didn’t really flesh him out much.
