Imagine the most capable, intelligent, and persuasive man you know. Now imagine their reaction to the idea of being made into the Joe Rogan of the left. Are they puking a little or a lot?

Anyone who is called “the Joe Rogan of the Left” should take it as an insult, and question why they’re thought of in that way. Either they have Left-leaning values, but are very dumb, or they are being ridiculed and should push back against that ridicule. Requires introspection either way.
When people say 'Joe Rogan of the left' they mean someone who meets people where they're at and uses accessible language to make complex topics more understandable to laymen. They don't mean a wanker who grifts. Whether we agree with it or not, the left is culturally viewed as elitist.
No problem. For the record, I think the dems are wasting their time on this, if it's not organic people will smell that. It has to be genuine. I'm certain they'll fail.
This argument is silly. Left has Jon Stewart, Jordan Klepper, Hasan Piker, Trevor Noah, Ezra Klein, and more. Is there some magical unicorn they expect?
Exactly. Which is why they're going to fail. People who watch leftist content creators can't intrinsically tie the party to the content creators they follow cause the party keeps tripping over their own feet with their own messaging. They already have what they need and refuse to use the tools.
What we need is a way to make the issues that actually impact us all more clear. But those who fund media have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo. Those who find themselves with $$ often get co-opted into the existing system.
Personally I think the issues have been made clear, but the scapegoating of certain groups is currently how it's being handled by the right. The dems may end up doing the same, cause they also don't want to tell the only other narrative to explain what we're all experiencing: the system has failed
That's less of a structural thing more than an ideology thing imo. The structure is what prevents 3rd parties from having a real shot (for now). Ideology is what keeps us fighting the rep brand of authoritarianism but also fighting among our own groups.
This is where the debate becomes about brain structure, survival mechanisms, psychology, and sociology as much as it is about politics.
I’m referring to structure as the patterns we see in human societies once they reach a size where our interdependence is no longer clear to all involved.
“Hey man real quick we want you to be the world’s biggest, most credulous idiot but for the LEFT what do you think? No? Okay well sleep on it buddy because we’ve already got ad buys from Target so they can say they’re sorry and George Clooney’s agreed to be our first guest so we gotta move quick.”
We do need an outreach for the 60% of people who don’t make the cost of living but anyone who gave a damn about them would have tripled minimum wage already and no one did. That’s why we are here now. No talk show fixes 40 years of growing income inequality. They/We need representation.
And when half the government. Well way more than half now, are nazis and want to reinstate slavery, because 68% of Americans apparently wanted all this by electing fucking nazis who said this is exactly what they were going to do in #PootiesProject2025, they don't work in a vacuum
Why would a capable, intelligent and persuasive man puke at the idea of countering the vast array and spewing of lies, conspiracies, propaganda, and general stupidity?
A lot at first but after he’s classified as a domestic terrorist it’ll drop to a little. “Detention centres” don’t offer a full meal and it’s hard to puke on an empty stomach.
That's actually the crux of the issue. Joe Rogan isn't particularly Right Wing, he's just a credulous naif who can't readily identify right from wrong, fact from fiction, or truth from lie. It's this naivete that makes his show Right Wing. It fails to challenge bad actors or bad philosophy.
Why is adopting some warmed-over imitation always the solution? A lifetime of consumer conditioning has made it easy for most of us to spot the pathetic copying of something because someone thinks it worked for someone else.
I don't know about a Rogan of the left but if Biden had followed up his disastrous debate by killing on Comedy Bang Bang that would have put to rest any questions about his fitness.
Also Rogan is a complete moron, who doesn’t understand anything, is easily swayed, only reads the headlines and he is also MAGA, and that means he is lost cause. Maybe if the Dems stopped fighting the progressive wing and only putting old farts in charge
The current number one podcast is the Meidas Touch which is on the left and blows Joe Rogan’s numbers out of the water. They are addressing a non-problem. The answer is inside the party…

A younger Ben Shapiro who just said "Yeah I don't mind food stamps and abortion so I'm voting for Democrats.
Now let's get back to supporting Israel's bombing of hamas."
you cannot match billions of dollars of propaganda that the GOP has. It's a losers game. 25 years of watching these fucking clowns not understand.
let angry people be angry

Those who reject the authoritarian mindset are inherently non-conformists. Non-conformists will not align to one message. Hence the infighting.
I’m referring to structure as the patterns we see in human societies once they reach a size where our interdependence is no longer clear to all involved.
Ok, I’ll do it.
The Right’s Mr Rogers-
Bill Mahr was excellent at this, but he kept crawling further up his own ass, now he just looks like an inside out balloon.
We know the crowd he attracts and it isn't Dems, let alone actual leftists.
The left needs someone to as effectively engage and activate the quiet majority with the same effect but with facts and reasoning.
I would learn so much shit, Andy.
So, so much shit.
Good, high quality shit.
People keep posting about that — isn’t it a joke?
I do not know what is even happening sometimes — everything happens so fast, now! 🤣🤬🤣🤬🤣
Yes, he'd be puking at the thought. And the corporatist neoliberals would be horrified at the mention of his name.
Genius can't follow party lines & comedy is ultimately about truth. The same applies to long format podcasts.
The right and far right have billionaires pumping tons of money to help their people get amplified
Why can’t the left look at potential candidates who already have a footing and put some money behind them?
