Where is the best place to look for help with query package development? I'm thinking a simple critique isn't enough and considering seeking coaching. Marketing isn't one of my strengths currently.
Forums like Absolute Write can help you work through a query. Also check out RevPit and see if any of the editors would be a good fit. That's how I picked an editor to help me with my submission package!

Hi! When deciding comps, do POV and tense matter? (Should they match the book that’s being queried?) What’s the most important thing you look for in comps?
Comps are hard. They can match themes or tone or plot or just aspects of the story. Or any combination. They don't need to match everything. Or the tense.
Are we in the so-called "summer slowdown" right now? I’m six weeks into a submission round for narrative nonfiction, and the responses in the back half have really slowed down. Is it reasonable to blame the time of year for this, or am I just grasping for solace?

How about a general market question: are there any genres that are selling more than usual and any that are selling less?
