A University of Buffalo graduate was chased across the stage by police at Sunday's commencement ceremony for carrying a prohibited item while he tried to collect his diploma: a baby.

I want a follow-up immediately in which any reporter asks if school officials apologized for chasing a father holding a baby and putting the baby in danger. FFS.
"The only way to prevent blowback from killing everyone else in their family was to 'finish the job' (final solution). This angers everyone else in the region & world, who we'll also purge soon enough. Also everyone hating us justifies the behavior they're mad at"
No question but I thought cops agreed with it. Obviously they would chase a man wearing a condom; why are they then also chasing a man with a baby?! They need to pick a side, damnit!
There was someone at my undergrad graduation who walked across the stage holding their toddler's hand. Apparently the student sometimes had to bring her baby with her to class throughout college, and so she dressed her daughter up in a little cap and gown and they walked together. No one was upset
What the fuck? Why is a BABY prohibited? I mean, is he going to use it as a weapon? I suppose I can see not just allowing graduates to bring anything they want up on stage when they accept their diploma, but really??
It’s for safety but then you chase him so that could have created an injury for him and/or his child??? Cops need a class in Big deal vs small deal. Will everyone still be safe? Will I make it worse?
Real pro-life, pro-family behavior to prohibit bringing your child with you on stage, and enforcing said prohibition with a cop waiting to give chase over a minor infraction
An adult that paid for and earned their degree getting chased by pigs because he took his baby with him on stage. What were they going to do, arrest him? And charge him with what? Jfc
2. The next story was about a Michigan state representative, a Democrat, who wrapped her (Republican) colleague's car in plastic wrap after he double-parked, protruding into her assigned spot.
I do not see this as a partisan issue. I see it as a story of justice and revenge.
A quality school would be taking notes. The audience is ALL students, friends and family. Thrown in something adorable and they love it and will talk about it to others. Fools, this admin.
Sheesh. When I graduated from LS, L&C LS had a kids' graduation after the main ceremony (for all the kids of LS-grad parents; mine were school-age so loved the attention), & everyone kept saying the kid one was more fun.
There are lots of valid reasons. Traffic control in parking lot, unruly behavior, day drinkers, a-holes with air horns ruining the ceremony, things like that. And of course hassling a dad trying to graduate.
That many graduates, that many families, that many cars filling the lot, I assure you there were police, at minimum doing traffic duty. Not seeing them isn’t the same as not being there. Police at graduations is very normal, but they’re usually doing mundane tasks.
That NBC story is so poorly written. It's clear the reason he ran and cut into the line is because he was unlawfully chased by the cops! And what's this bullshit about commencement protocol?
the school's excuse of the baby not having enough credits to be on the stage is the most flatlined take i have ever seen. every authority figure in this goddamn story is braindead i stg just say you're racist and go

It wasnt to protect the students, was it?
Can't have people thinking for themselves at a university
Babies are now dangerous items?
Now get that damn baby off the stage!"
Nuts. Fascist Fucking Nuts.

I'd say superglued, but they already are.
That's probably about it.
Truly, cops desperately need defunding if they have nothing better to do than this.
did this proud papa make his baby a teeny graduation gown and hat to match??
