Call me old-fashioned, but one of the greatest pleasures I’ve discovered is watching the magnificent shrubs, trees & plants grow and blossom in my garden.
I’m easily pleased these days.

This time of year every time I go out buds are that bit closer to flowering and after apple blossom's gone, tiny baby apples are there. Everything's gone into verdant growth. This time in the evening is also still & silent, though we're surrounded by people. Pure joy!
A garden can never be finished, perfected or rushed. It’s great for impatient people like me.
It's still a prickly little sod mind.
I hope you’re well.
I really love my redbuds.
😉😄
I love you all 🥰
I'll love it a whole lot better when I've finished mowing this bloody lawn....

I'm in the middle of acres of unmowed land and hedgerows!
And 'no mow May' here means
'Jumanji June' when the place is like a sodding jungle...so no!!!
Without the forever presence of elements, plants that outlive us, we would probably all go crazy.
Simple stuff

I spent time pottering in the garden last weekend just looking & enjoying the beauty of nature. Watching plants develop & bloom, hearing the birds singing & the bees buzzing. It transports you from all the cr^p going on - even if only for a little while.☺
I celebrated by hacking the ropey old turf off another section, ready for more pristine grass! The other half hasn't seen it yet...
Nurturing a growing tree sure slows down your need for instant gratification.
The first fruit on my lime trees! 💚💚💚💚
