IMO the best cards to play in Raffine are Krovikan Horror and Master of Death. They are free discards every turn. You just have to discard a creation on top of Krovikan Horror.

I have as much usable madness, and other cast from grave things as I can fit to turn the negative into a second hand. Chthonian Nightmare is so good in Raffine if you can make disposable tokens or have blood ghast or reassembling skeleton.
