Theres so much religious iconography. Cruciform key, Entity is anti-god with an angel Gabriel, a doomsday religion has formed around it, etc. Then nothing ever really comes of that. But on the other hand I was clenching my fists hard enough to leave indents in my palms so it all balanced out.
It was weird to me how much of the cool sci-fi stuff they just dropped from MI: Dead Reckoning. I definitely thought they'd make something of Ethan on the run in a world where the Entity is feeding everyone misinformation. Gabriel was so much more interesting as an Entity devotee.
MI: The Final Reckoning felt more padded than any other MI, which makes me feel they should have just concluded the Entity storyline in Dead Reckoning while it was still interesting.
I can't believe they brought back Computer Guy from the first one and managed to make him one of the best characters on the franchise. More Computer Guy and Wife!
Yes, more Henry Czerny playing this kind of role is always good. But I'd rather not see how a changing cast of directors changes the character over time to fit their aesthetic
