This reminds me of the Tesla steering loss issue, where the aluminum ground contact to the steel chassis becomes corroded and drivers lose control of their cars. Have tried to search for it but it seems to have been erased from the internet!

This Tesla is roughly half the age of the typical American vehicle on the road today. Half! And it's rusting to pieces, including around critical structural joints, brake lines, important things of that nature.

The fact that a lot of that rusting is around places where there are two or more parts connected tells me that there's likely some galvanic corrosion going on, which means whoever designed it didn't put any thought into where differing metals would come into contact.

Grabbing stuff from our colleague's trunk he asked why the trunk strut mounting points were already rusting. Sure enough. Tesla, uniquely horrid.

For comparison: I drove my Toyoto Prius for 18 years. The last 10 were in Pittsburgh, where we salt the hell out of the roads. It didn't spend a single day in a garage, and got washed a couple times a year.
