The judge is like a century off. "You can't touch", "you must destroy materials", I'm surprised there's not some kind of wording against use of telegraphs.
The other problem is that if (big if) any changes were to be filed, it’s incredibly likely Trump / Musk / DOGE would ignore them. They seem to think they’re immune to anything and that Trump’s executive powers are universal.
You might if further touching gave rise to copious amounts of private liability and a prolonged civil litigation tidal wave, just the defense of which (even if ultimately vindicated) would be crippling enough to make most folks shudder.
the dam was breached, the houses were washed away by the tide. Judge "plis pump the water back up". i mean sure they should not have access and maybe the dam should be rebuilt, but the damage might be pretty irreparable
Everyone talking about how there's no way these little shock troops know enough about COBOL to fix or update these systems was baffling - I'll bet they're good enough to exfil and backdoor and, uhh, that's all you need folks
Yep. It’s like trespassing someone after they rob a bank but not checking them for the cash. And I’m sure all of our adversaries are all up in our systems after the breaches of security. Hell, maybe they can save us 😅
And not checking for tunnels they used to get to the bank. And not changing the lock on the vault or the security code on the door and not checking that the silent alarm still works.
The only thing that makes me hopeful is…legacy shit is actually hard and baby geniuses are wholly unprepared. Despite what is being said there’s a 50/50 they’re still at “wtf is powerbuilder” or whatever equivalent.

If Trump tries to boot him, will he just bow up now that he has access to the Treasury?
Redundancy isn’t just for the blue team.

"We can't do that - it's illegal!"
And how do they enforce that?
He could just compress+encrypt a copy and upload it somewhere for later use.
“Done.”
“Really?”
“Yeah!”
🙄
I mean they only had "read only" access, which I guess when you put it in quotes means something different.
