Hello. Today is my daughter's birthday. She is eleven years old. I feel very old at the moment but my life is full of light and joy so I'm very happy. Per her request, please reply with congratulations as well as book recommendations. She has read virtually everything she's gotten her hands on!

Is she too old for Redwall? I remember enjoying those books
My kids book Persevere can be had free in here:

If she likes spooky reads she should check out Small Spaces by Katherine Arden
My book recommendation is The Thief of Always by Clive Barker. He's a adult horror author normally, but this is definitely a child friendly fantasy book perfect for your age group. I just finished reading it to my 10 and 6 year olds, and they absolutely loved it.
Mine turns 12 very shortly. She loves reading the "Wings of Fire" series by T Sutherland. The graphic novels are great as well. Vol 1 pictured here:
Has she read any Tamora Pierce? I devoured those series when I was her age.
The Wee Free Men
Hat Full Of Sky
Wintersmith
I Shall Wear Midnight
The Shepherd's Crown
Book recommendations:
- Q-in-Law
- Shatner's series of post-Generations Star Trek novels
- What Is To Be Done?
- State And Revolution
For a great read, I recommend Mists of Avalon: women were important in King Arthurβs time too.
She also read a lot of nature books normally considered adult fare. Bill Bryson on Australia, a book about deep sea animals, a book about thylacines, Kingbird Highway, etc.
Lion Witch and Wardrobe rightly seen as a classic, but the prequel, The Magician's Nephew, C.S.Lewis, is IMHO equally magnificent and undeservedly largely forgotten.
Book recommendations eh? Well, my daughters at that age were into all things animΓ© so it began with all books to do with Sailor Moon. π It was both drawing and reading material then. Whatever books sheβs interested in sheβs already into a great start in life. Happy reading!
Maybe Dad would like it?

Anything by EL Konigsburg β the View from Sunday is brilliant.
11 year olds definitely shouldn't read the Weirdstone of Brisingamen, or the Moon of Gomrath, by Alan Garner. Like I did...
I'm much older than 11, so I may be a bit off.
Flowers for Algernon is great for thinkers.
Earthsea but not the TV.
Anything you enjoy!
