This is *so* cool! I had my classes do this when I was teaching photography - Anthony is over the top. It is really cool to see how far he's taken this.

My self awareness is one of my best traits. I do not have the patience for kids and I have a really bad issue where I REALLY resent people who annoy me. I did one summer as a camp counselor and that one summer was enough child care for my entire life.
I applaud your self-awareness and your decision not to put yourself or a child through what would almost certainly be an unpleasant, at best, experience for both of you.
Yea it was my first job when I was 15. I had gone to camp all my life up to that point. My mom was similarly also a camp counselor at the same camp so it only made sense. I don’t think I did a bad job, but it made me realize I don’t have patience for kids and don’t want one.
Really?!? Musk’s obsession is money. Collecting it, not sharing it. He is incapable of feeling empathy and calls it a weakness. He is not going to suddenly care about the people he’s hurting.
I am not qualified to speak on that, however, he has a different obsession. His obsession is cars and it doesn’t hurt anyone. In the video I watched, he seemed pretty happy to hear that he is inspiring people. Musk doesn’t care about that stuff.
Surprisingly this is one of the techniques that professional film makers will use is miniatures. Great example in the movie True Lies, the scene where a bridge was being blown up by missiles, that is a miniature Bridge that is about waste High. No it's not the bridge that Lakes Florida to the Keys
Thank you for sharing. My 6 year old is a huge fan of vehicles and spends a lot of time looking at his cars from their level/perspective. He is also autistic & the ways he can look at the world are beautiful & fascinating. I just ordered him both books. I am so excited to give them to him!
Autistic people often have tea-ordinary skills. Too bad RFK, jr. Can’t admit that he is autistic and find his skill instead of thinking he’s a neuroscientist instead of throwing out unsubstantiated data and seeing how many people believe him.
Jesus fucking christ. Please stop. First of all we don't all have extraordinary skills. Special interests which lead to an impressive skill level, yes. However what you are thinking of is Savant Syndrome which is rare and has nothing to do with autism. And don't fucking pathologize others please.
If you read about RFK, jr., he has done things that put him on the spectrum. He would like to think he’s a savant. He’s not. But, he has fixations on the medical field and refuses to listen to anybody else’s facts.
Wrong. I’ve dealt with many. You’re taking it to the extreme. I called it a spectrum. I’ve seen a child pick up reading material and absorb it like a sponge. My niece is non-communicative, but does a basic job, another non-verbal could find the code to his iPad to unlock games within minutes.
Ok but he is autistic & creative. And autistics are routinely underestimated. Why does it bother you to point out that people like him exist? Why can’t autistics have any pride without someone objecting?
I love this to pieces but I don't think it's necessary to lean into autism to explain the work. It serves to qualify his accomplishments and reinforce the divide between "normies" and "divergents." Unnecessary. There are a whole lot of artists out there on the spectrum, quietly making terrific work.
I understand and appreciate your perspective. It is valid.
I think it should be up to the individual how much they disclose. My youngest son (also autistic) shares a similar ability to view things this way, & he will find validation & inspiration in Anthony’s work. I appreciate that a great deal.
I became old before I learned it was a thing and by then I'd "developed coping mechanisms" which meant "You're on your own." Give your son the tools he needs, a ton of space, and get out of his way. And tell him I said hi. Peace and love.
Thank you! This is just really good modeling and ingenious photographic effects. The autism isn't relevant. Do we celebrate "autistic mathematicians" and "autistic physicists" for their neurodivergence or their accomplishments? Why can't it be the same for artists?
Yes! It reads like inspiration porn. It’s icky & condescending. Folks with disabilities are humans with strengths and struggles like everyone else. Unless a disability is a direct barrier to the accomplishment, there’s no reason to mention it as the main focus of the story.
It is to showcase how someone with challenges can overcome them. It’s incredibly important we celebrate that. You wouldn’t be saying this if he had physical disabilities like being in a wheelchair. Invisible disabilities are still disabilities.
Interesting.
That tiny, mediocre smartphone camera lens (and sensor) becomes a gigantic piece of premium glass and large format sensor when shooting at macro scale.
No need for tens of thousands worth of camera equipment! The smartphone actually looks professional.
Me either! I was raised in Spokane and after moving back and forth after high school, I left for good in 2018 (not bad). Their fries….. (I also miss Zips tarter sauce lol)

What an artist.
Just goes to show POV is everything
He's got an amazing imagination. ❤️
This creativity needs to be rewarded
Very clever and artistic.
And a super cool venue, to boot!!!
Love Dicks!
Extra-ordinary skills.
Side note: if you're craving a burger, go to Dick's. It's a PNW staple that's actually OLDER than McDonald's (and 1,000 times better).
Bonus: Dick's employees get fair pay AND tuition for school. (It's basically what McD's wishes it were... fair, ethical, and TASTY.)
