Fair enough.
But, retrospective numbers mean pretty much zilch in the world of footy.
If they don’t look good they do allow people to be miserable tho.
Currently Boro fans are just that.
They expect better and ‘know’
All great managers want to manage a team who finished 10th in the championship

Are Boro fans the most miserable in the country?
He hasn’t been appointed yet and they are looking for failure.
Give the lad a chance - Luton did.

So, 350 Labour MPs are voting to put some of those currently on welfare benefits into further poverty.
Shameful
And, if there is no financial case how on earth can there be a moral one?

Why is it a shame she will have to raise taxes? If we want a functioning society we can be proud of we have to pay for it.
The status quo is just favouring the rich and Reform.

As far as I’m aware the proposed welfare cuts are in a ‘Green Paper - therefore for discussion.
Have I got that wrong?

Can we take the vote away from the 7-18% who side with Israel.

Fair point on why has it taken so long but they got the right decision. 2 years of decline and 10th in a poor league highlighted Carrick’s weaknesses and thankfully the back team have gone too.
Optimistic now.

Surely It is great news that more kids in need are going to get free school meals.
Just celebrate it FFS

It’s tricky, The Ukraine war was signposted for some time.
Those now supporting Ukraine, for reasons only they know, just allowed it to happen.
That’s odd.
I’m not sure there is much strategic thinking going on.
But, defence spending impacts positively on GDP and is always a political winner.

In search of peace we have tried 2 world wars, NATO and nuclear deterrent.
Result - 2024 over 50 live conflicts.
How should we fix it?
Oh, let’s spend even more….
If you keep doing the same thing ……

All we know is she has gone and can’t comment.
The rest is speculation and guesses.
And
Those speculating and guessing getting cross with others speculating and guessing.

I’d like Angela to tell us what she really thinks - for her own good too.
If she continues to stick to the script she will spontaneously combust.

Also threw Reeves under the bus. When she was asked this morning she said the policy is here to stay.
I’d suggest she isn’t
The devil will be in the detail in the policy - got to get it right this time and make sure just those who are in need get it.

Sometimes it’s best to look forward. Today marks a real shift in UK/Israel relations and, I would have hoped - most of us would just welcome it.

Keir Starmer 2020
Conservatives have created this hostile environment.. we should welcome people wherever they come from.. the whole UK is better because of immigration.. the Labour Party has been a bit scared of making the positive case for immigration.. I think we need to turn that round"

In fairness a major major achievement for Starmer too -
it has only taken him 7 months to topple the Tories as ‘The Nasty Party’
I joined the Green Party Last week.

So, you’d like to become a Labour MP? Yes, I’m all for fairness, anti bigotry, workers rights, supporting the most vulnerable in society and our NHS.
Sorry - you have been unsuccessful in your application.
Next candidate
‘IMMIGRATION’ - welcome aboard.

Just wondering - why we don’t get a petition up to stop unelected bureaucrats (McSweeney) from interfering in politics. I’m sure lots of Lab voters would pitch in.

Not all of us deserve her. There are some good people here too. Starmer has really pissed people off by fighting the same fight as Farage.

We fall into the same trap every frickin time. When will we learn that it is emotion and belief that win votes - logic matters not.

Not sure why anyone is surprised by this. the county voted massively for Brexit, huge farming community and, sadly, racism is an issue (I live here).
It will get a lot of publicity but, in the scheme of things, it doesn’t matter - apart from people like me who have to live with it.

Great pic from a gorgeous area. Just wondering - what makes you say sheep nibbled the trees away? Sounds unusual. Mass deforestation at the time was a ‘thing’.
