I'm so used to Minecraft that I didn't expect the physics of the bomb to work like that

The motorcycle community is very strong and united. When legislation doesn't go there way they know how to fight.
Besides being loud f$ks they are a very nice community

Not saying this is not true, but living in France (very strong regulations on motor vehicles) loud motorcycles are still very annoying. Maybe in other places is even worst?

No source? fake news.
The only thing I can't find is a drop by the US in 2024. Can't find any others, and the parachute match

I don't think so, you fail faster, you fix faster, you build just more

Good question. They were delivered by the US not China. China can't just fly over there and drop stuff.

I find it fenomenal that someone that doesn't know how to code can get that far
I wish I had LLMs to learn how to code, bc my first apps were insecure too, but with a lot of extra work.

I will never get used to it

why? bc of the lack of libraries breaching the data to the UI?
comment in response to

how do you see it? users self host their stuff? a standard that many providers can implement? a cloud that service that is open source in case you want to self host?
comment in response to

With onefolder.app we have been trying to do something similar to that, but it has been complicated
comment in response to

where did you get this data ?

and this is done by the developer of each website, not by the browser.
Try dropping a JPEG and HEIC on any browser (but safari) to see what I mean
comment in response to
post
Chrome and Firefox can't view HEIC. If a website allows you to "view" it it's fake, is a JPEG representation of it.
I had to implement this myself in onefolder.app

Sells stuff, either a product or a dream of a product.
What I don't like about "build audience first" is that people fall into influencer type stuff that doesn't make a difference

HEIC has proprietary stuff going on. Apple is bad at standards bc they are too greedy.
Most websites use Sharp to handle images, here is the response from the Sharp team which support most formats but no HEIC

I provide QR menus services (toto.menu)
If it makes you feel better you can attack me, but there is plenty of good reason for QR menus, so just get used to them bc they aren't going awy

My take is that the US is obsessed with the EU market, they go through great lengths to dominate it, were in other places they arrived late
comment in response to

In Chile and other south american countries Mercadolibre dominates, amazon sheeps some products to Chile, but really operate here

I did a test; bought a Logitec MX mouse in FNAC (very common mouse) and the MX keyboard in Amazon France.
The keyboard was QWERTY so not addressed to the french market,so a lot harder for Amazon.
The keyboard arrived in less than a week, the mouse in a month.

it's a very exciting field, that is in desperate need of good tutorials. Thanks for investing your time in that
comment in response to
post
Most people looking for tutorials are already convinced that this is cool so no need to spend 10 minutes explaining it again.
People looking to learn this are already quite advanced in development, no need to teach them how to do web development.
I would go straight to the point

I have two complaints about the current CRDTs tutorials in general:
1. Too much time explaining why is important
2. Using examples that are too complex, explaining many things that are not related to CRDTs like database connections, and stuff

The code snippet of code in the beta version of the Yjs helped me a lot to get started.

We need more very simple examples that people can look at. I don't want a full NextJS example, just the essentials

It should take the approach of Progressive Web Apps, where from the beginning it was agree that the APIs would be "progressive" in the way you implement.
No need to start from scratch.
Now Local First is a bit different, is not UI but actual data, so no idea how to achieve that

I was thinking about a list or comunity where people can post ai art but with the prompt, so I can browse for inspiration but also have a head start, idk if bluesky is the right place, maybe reddit is more suted
