Iβm going on 15 years in New York and this mayoral race has done more to turn me off of my city than anything I can remember. The shit Iβm seeing directed at the guy who wants to make rent, food, and transportation more attainable is so fucking disingenuous and rotten.

I saw some other people recommending Sigma lenses and I'd second that, by the way. I bought my first this year after using nothing but Sony lenses and the build quality is seriously outstanding.

I'd recommend getting whatever's affordable. I used an entry-level a5100 with a 35mm prime lens for years and some of those photos are my favorites. Now I have a more expensive (read: heavier) full-frame body with $1,000+ lenses and honestly, I'm not sure it's more enjoyable or if I do better work.
