In GQuux, Machu's lamentation of the fake gravity in Side 6 concludes with her jumping into a swimming pool and noting the lack of a real ocean. How can humanity evolve if it refuses to acknowledge the atrocities of its own creation? I think that'll be something to pay attention to in the future.

In a past thread, we talked about how Tsurumaki's experiences growing up in post-war Japan likely influenced his choice of focusing on Side 6. The fake gravity in Side 6 is tied to the feeling of aimlessness born in a society that is both traumatized by war and yet unwilling to acknowledge it.

Exhibit 2: Machu's jellyfish motif. Like a jellyfish, Machu floats about aimlessly in life without the ability to control the currents.
