🫂 Thank you friend, that means a lot! A lot more than I imagined. IDK if I should though just cause of my situation and well, I'm not even sure I want to make it higher in the first place... IDK, it's all very confusing and I guess I rather not think about it.. I appreciate you though~ n.n

I'm not trans though so it really shouldn't like bother me at all, it's kind of like par for the course. A clearer mic would naturally have more bass, that's like how physics works. Hope that means people aren't going to start avoiding me cause of it though... :x

So far its been pretty solid yeah! The real test definitely is going to be screen sharing and stuff. But that will be a rare case for me anyway but it'll be interesting once it comes up!

Same! This is just for my laptop that I use on the side, usually when i'm just relaxing or doing some boring IRL business work stuff (like emails lol)

Mhm. While "It just works!" is nice. It also comes with that "It just works!" price tag TwT

Windows is somewhere in the middle. You can build your own pc and put windows on it or buy a third party one. But you still have to conform to most of window's software standards to get it your software to work. I think that's why its the most popular with casual users. That + price ofc.

Mac and Linux live on two opposite ends of software dev paradigm. Apple is purely a single centralized main source for their entire platform. They control hardware, development standards, and app distribution. Linux is complete anarchy in comparison. Anything goes. Both have their +'s and -'s.

The crazy part is that, they are not even asking for help. They are asking for recommendations. They are not looking for a step by step tutorial of how to install it. That kind of thing definitely needs to be toned down a bit lmao

Installing it, especially Debian distros like Mint and Ubuntu, is definitely easier than its ever been before. And I'd definitely recommend dual booting if you can so you can always switch back very easily if you decide its not for you.

RIGHT?? "Do your own research!!" *Does own research* *Only finds a bunch of websites telling you to do your own research* "Fuck me, I guess for not knowing how to write my own app before installing" lmaooooo

I feel that. My laptop got updated to Windows 11 without me knowing and i was like "welp, I'm not about to deal with this, time to try something new" I use mint for my streaming pc/NAS and it works great and the UI always looked so smooth, but I haven't really tried daily driving it till now.

I know it's an Arch sub and are notorious for this but like damn, are we *trying* to gate-keep new users????

By content consumption, I mean, I watch anime and youtube, answer emails, edit documents, and other "non-unity/blender tasks".

Keep in mind this is coming from someone who *loves* typing more than using my voice/body language. But there is just so much context and background that gets lost when you are just reading text. Especially text that are typed emotionally.

Multi-layered threads of people talking in circles and I'm just like, "If they were talking in person (or in VR), this conversation would be so much shorter." I never see people yell at eachother IRL (or VR) like they do on these sites lmao.
