For me the Switch 2 is simply fine but I really wish they had done something about the ergonomics, I find the joy-cons totally unbearable to use for long periods

I've been trying all week to not buy the new Sony WF-C710N headphones for this exact reason. I have a lovely pair or Airpod Pro 2's that are brilliant...but they're not translucent blue 🤤

This is right. They only appear to be looking at teaching salaries and not the management salaries which is entirely missing the point.

I also certainly dispute the 'more capable leaders' comment, this has not been my experience. I guess I have an issue with treating schools as a business and where I live, the last few LA maintained schools are both financially and managerially more stable that any of the academies.

From my experience the economies of scale don't ever equate to the added costs of more middle management roles. I have also seen examples of large MATs failing to take the local school's demographic into account and forcing MAT wide policies that just don't fit a particular school.

Whilst it's not the biggest issue for standard teachers pay, I would certainly suggest that Labour try and tighten up the pay for the managerial roles that academies create where they can essentially divert money away from front line teaching to line their own pockets.

As someone who works in this sector, it is galling to see staff in academies taking larger salaries simply because they can. This money comes from their allocation and the more they pay themselves, the less there is the educate the pupils. Seems like a no brainer to me 🤷♂️

I'm with you there. I finished it and the sequel but my god, it took a monumental amount of perseverance. Looking back, I'm not entirely sure why I bothered...who am I kidding, I'm a sucker for those graphics 🤦♂️

I'm keen to pick up a Series X (sounds like a mad thing to say these days) but they very rarely seem to drop in price. Console deals in general are always nice to see though, thank you!

I honestly thought they would go hard on the discounts this Black Friday but maybe they’re pretty confident about Indiana Jones?…

I agree, the disc drive was the deciding factor for me. I'd need to have one with a drive and that pushes the cost over the edge for me, just not enough of a jump to warrant that cost. Not to say I won't cave at some point in the future if it ever goes on sale!

Thanks Ian, I needed that. As the day has gone on I have started to realise why leaving Twitter and moving to BlueSky was absolutely the right decision. There have been some great insights that have really brightened my mood and helped me find some optimism on this miserable day.
