I enjoy everything geeky and painting Warhammer when I get the chance (which is not often). All opinions are my own etc etc.

The amount of B&Q stuff I use for my nerdy shit! If they only knew we’d have our own section.

Republicans don’t prioritise any of those things. It’s all about paranoia and selfishness.

Imagine if something you argued for had made the UK economy £140 billion pounds smaller since 2016. Coming to terms with that level of failure and culpability isn’t easy.

Normalise measuring more things by animals. How much plywood do you need? About 2.5 foxes by a badger.

Thanks for your reply. I guess calm and rational responses don’t shift many newspapers!

You know if the Tories had done the exact same deal the papers would be throwing flowers at them like crazy right?

The Brexit Withdrawal bill is binding though. It’s not a simple matter to rejoin. We’d need a second referendum first I think. Interestingly it’s 10 years since the first one next June.

Have you been miss-sold a Labour government?

It’s hard to hold a grudge against someone living in a camp working all day for minimum wage doing jobs that need doing. The gripe is that immigrants supposedly get preferential treatment for housing. What if they were required to remain in the camp for five years with mandatory language classes.

Bit of a ‘what did the Romans do for us’ situation

Maybe if they saw them out in reflective jackets fixing shit all day they’d mellow out a little…?
comment in response to

I think that’s evil enough to appeal to the average Daily Mail reader.
comment in response to

You have to pay them minimum wage but then charge them for the cost of the housing / food etc. hence they’re left with £3 to save up to set themselves up with if they’re successful in their application or to pay for their own deportation if they’re not.
comment in response to
post
Surely chaining them together and making them fill in potholes or litter pick all day for £3 an hour would suffice.

Wondering how extreme Kier would have to get in order to be given flowers by the Daily Mail?

Is it racist to refer to a person from Nigeria or Niger as a N bomb?
comment in response to

Nice try fuckstick. Do you think your skinhead mates from the NF cared to check a brown persons passport before they yelled the P slur at them. But if you’re not sure try shouting it Suella Braverman next time you see her, see what happens.

A nationality isn’t a race so it’s isn’t racist. Typical James like behaviour.

You can’t actually be racist against South Africans it’s not a race. Any more than you can’t be racist against the French.
And it’s a joke you snowflake.

I just don’t recognise what you’re saying with my experience. I’ve worked with conservative MPs and colleagues to positively impact the lives of people I support. I disagree with them on politics but at the end of the day I’d rather be effective than ‘right’ any day.
comment in response to
post
A conservative could argue the precise opposite and say it’s evil that working people have to give their tax money just so people can sit on their arse all day. How do you win those people around? Call them evil? What does that achieve?
comment in response to
post
Calling things evil is just thought terminating. Harmful might give room for exploitation of alternatives. Your preaching to the converted but in order to effect change a black and white viewpoint doesn’t help.
comment in response to
post
No absolutely! I agree, PIP is not fit for purpose and needs reform. But most people find meaning to their life through their jobs and careers and worklessness is a blight to people’s mental health too. I don’t think labelling people we disagree with as evil is helpful sorry.
comment in response to
post
A conservative would say that cutting taxes encourages inward investment and deters capital flight. Limiting benefits should encourage work which is generally beneficial for people. I disagree to these points but they’re not evil to think them.
