protect your eyes, protect your head. "less lethal" munitions are lethal when fired directly at a human being and cops love to use them this way. pepperballs will take your eye out, a tear gas canister can fracture your skull. cops will kill you on purpose and by accident, all with impunity.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

its critical right now to keep reasserting our actual values so that we don’t forget that the baseline of humanity we are currently fighting for isn’t the actual end goal i’m not fighting for a world where people don’t get snatched up by ICE. i’m fighting for a world with no borders.

Could not agree more! My book, Saving Apartheid: White Internationalism at the End of the Cold War, traces exactly this transatlantic connection between apartheid and the American right from 1980 to 1994. Out with Columbia University Press late 2025/early 2026!

Just out! Our peer-reviewed critique of the Cass Review has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodology. Please read and share. We show that the Cass Review is fatally flawed and should not be the basis for policy or practice in transgender healthcare. link.springer.com/article/10.1...

It was when JK Rowling said that the Cass Review was a peer review itself and that's why it didn't need to be peer reviewed I realised she's an idiot. Anyway, here's a peer review of Cass. Guess what it finds?

Empathy doesn’t require you to be nice. It requires you to care. And sometimes caring means being loud, bold and unfiltered. The world doesn’t need civility in the face of injustice. It needs fierce empathy.

ICE can enter anyone’s home, and abduct and deport them to a foreign prison indefinitely because the DOJ says they can ignore the 4th, 5th and 15th amendments. If there’s no due process or protections against illegal search and seizures, none of us are safe.

Transphobia is a luxury belief, and my theory is that much of the appeal for a certain set of cis women is that they get to be the oppressor like cis men oppress them. They don't need to overthrow the patriarchy because they've got their own little oppression starter kit.

This was put back into the bill, but I'm sharing cuz I think it's important to highlight how pro-rape this party is. The same party that removed grant funding for the Office on Violence Against Women, & for the Prison Rape Resource Center, because they are "no longer aligned" with their priorities.

he’s right and he’s right to say it

EVERYONE: “if they deny due process to non-citizens, they can and will deny it to citizens too” SMUG IDIOTS: “I would simply show my birth certificate and clear it all up!” [ICE kidnaps a U.S. citizen] [shows birth certificate to judge] [judge shrugs] “sorry, can’t help u”

Notably, in his media availability in El Salvador, @vanhollen.senate.gov truthfully keeps saying that Abrego Garcia was "illegally abducted" and "disappeared" instead of the more antiseptic, and factually incorrect, "deported."
