Another great piece of work, brilliantly done. Yet again. Thanks for all your work which I always enjoy. Can anybody explain what on earth is going on in this play at the plate?

Beautiful shot

Also those pitches are a bit of an environmental disaster - they absorb no water, provide zero space for nature and (in the uk) the crumb is made from old car tyres which is carcinogenic if ingested.

Ah right I understand now (I had actually seen that previous post by you, just couldn’t quite work it out). I suppose it’s what gets called ‘heat haze’. I’ve only photographed on those pitches a couple of times and not ever had that problem. I’ve played on them though and don’t like it.

Good stuff. I have to say I love the mono treatment of the IR shots, never really been a big fan of the colour versions - though the two either side of the central mono one in your grid do have a nice mood. I’m wondering what you mean by the turf getting too hot and how that affects the pics?

Donated. Read a few things on there over the last few years. I think that donating to independent media of all kinds is one of the best ways around to spend money

Pretty sure they said he was a man at first too, but this seems to be an 'Elizabeth Cook' - makes you think doesn't it?

Fascinating, thanks very much for sharing, I’ve subscribed to that feed.

He’s just not good enough. Not good enough to be backup, having him in the squad will only block progression for an academy player.

I recognise all of them as being things I don’t want to drink. Really hope they improve the offering in the new place, let’s have some IPA’s and bitters please.

…Then he went and scored a brace at Brighton - a huge hand in a miraculous result. And then of course against Bournemouth he did what he did - which he will always be remembered for. A huge heart and love for the club making massive contributions.

Hammered by Newcastle at home 4-1, we looked doomed. Only him and Pickford had the front to walk round the ground and applaud the fans after that game - he was slapping his heart and the badge and bowing in apology, shaking his fist with determination. A full lap to the handful of remaining fans…

Great decision, class. Next invite the Liverpool County FA to move their headquarters from WHP into Goodison, create a proper legacy and embed our club in the footballing culture of the city for generations.

Also I’d love them to work with the Liverpool County FA, whose headquarters are Walton HP. They could have HQ at goodison, flog WHP off and go halves on the proceeds, play the local end of season cup finals at Goodison. Giving something back and rooting the club in the city’s footballing culture.

I’m thinking knock the main stand down and replace it with offices and corporate stuff like shops and hospitality, museum etc. keep the bullens and st end in all their leitch-ian glory.

Great stuff, I really like the notebook of thermal images, so much so that I have had to restrain myself from buying that little kodak gizmo just now. The image you have completed either side with a pencil drawing I find very pleasing.

Good shout I’m going straight to my podcast app before I forget, cheers.

Unilikely. Even if you did that would make you semi-hard, at most.

Classic English coastal scene. I love any picture in which someone is casually keeping a footy under close control.

Keane looking as ropey as expected. Look at the goal though and it’s on Alcaraz - loads of runners ahead of him and he can’t find the pass, such a bad pass that city didn’t even have to kick it off the pitch to defend. 30 seconds later they score. Shit.

Excellent work, great moment - well done anticipating it

Strong week. Bit disappointed to see the lad you’ve got on the right of midfield though. I thought all blues, like me, refuse to use those players.

Limpar was unplayable that day. He was a great player, so skilful. I remember a lot of the Goodison crowd not liking him because he didn’t fly into tackles but I was mesmerised by his skills. I still wear my shirt with his name on to play footy sometimes

What a day. I vividly remember the whole concourse singing ‘baby we’re back’ over Pato Banton’s ‘baby come back’.

Arsenal suffer terribly. It not only makes them boring to watch but also so predictable that teams can calculate out how to defend against them. They often feign injury so Arteta can have a coaching break.

Garner has great vision and passing. McNeil pretty good too.
