I love the way #southpark has a meme for just about everything. @marymcnamara.bsky.social

A lot of kids are saying that right now. I just hope they survive long enough to have kids of their own. I'm starting to have doubts on that front.

Signs that were there to begin with.

Perhaps that was the idea behind putting him on CNBC in the 1st place. "Exposure" like that is hard to beat. And it's not as if @nbcnews.com doesn't have an audience.

Mind you, now that Doge has effectively dismantled NASA (jeezus), that'll be a long walk yet.

I like that. You know, if this were a perfect world, that right there would be the perfect start of a superhero movie franchise.

jeezus god — I had forgotten that. There's so much to unpack with this guy it's hard to keep up.
comment in response to post
And that would be a shame.

Surely he must have know that going in, though. Two words: Jeffrey Epstein. Mind you, "Elon" seems to have a thing about pedos. Remember, that's what he called those Thai cave dive rescuers when they scoffed at his idea of a one-man sub doing the job. Had to apologize for the comment too, I recall.

That they are. Hard-working, too.

Fun fact about DNA tests — & this is true (National Geographic & PBS did a series on this, 'Africa,' from about 20 yrs back) They found the DNA in a single village in East Africa has more diversity in DNA strands than entire communities globally. You won't hear white supremacists bang on about that.

This is #true. What I don't understand — and I suppose I probably never will, at least not now in my present state of advanced age — is how A=B and B=C but A does not necessarily = C with these people. Evidently, making obscene amounts of money doesn't necessarily mean one can connect the dots.

About as apt a definition of "laziness" as I can think of. Well, mental laziness, anyway.

Oh, I imagine that happens all the time with this guy. You see how his mind works just from the way he speaks: Half the time, he contradicts himself in the same rambling, run-on sentence.

There may not be any room for that, after that bucket of KFC.

I think his private supply may be baked in. Xanax, certainly (alongside provigil, modafinil, ketamine, others I would imagine)

I'm not young — no longer young, anyway — but I never thought I'd live to see the day when separation of powers would become a subject of debate. I mean, really?
comment in response to post
That's probably what he means by a Coke — it's taken for granted inhis inner circle that he means Diet. As you say, he needs room for that bucket of KFC. It's not just the burger 'n fries. 😏

... as memes go, an oldie that never gets old. I've used it often over the past 6 months. Which, when you think about it, is appalling.

At least that dumb ass can walk on four legs — with some of these magats, I'm not too sure. It's the sheep that bother me more, though. That's a sobering sight right there.

Uncomfortably true. Worse, it's probably clear to anyone that this photo was not posed or faked in any way — these are actual, real people.
comment in response to post
Indeed not. Given some of the 'real' people out there...

Tnx. As with so many of these things, I don't go looking for a specific image — I took these using my phone, not a camera. One walks in nature and if one is at all attentive these things just happen and it's incumbent on one to notice them when they do. Party of the magic. Tnx for commenting. 🙏

What interests me, having witnessed a family of five goslings hatched during an ice freeze in February and watching them grow over a three-month period, is how they gain individual personalities over a relatively short period of time — and yet form part of a society. As you say, much like humans.

I'm beginning to think Shatner and Nimoy did it better. 🤔

Man, there's a name from the past. Makes me nostalgic for the days when movies weren't all headache-inducing CGI superhero remakes.

I see great blue herons on my morning walks in the nearby park — just this morning, in fact, inc. one flying. But I've never got a capture like this. Well done! And tnx for sharing.

Sorry — I tried, but it's too complicated. My domain is alexstrachan.net. Seems easy enough. But every time I try I'm being forced down a rabbithole of tech jargon like DNS and TXT and _atproto and ... and, well, no. A shame. I did want to be verified.
