I mean, I'm not a Stucky shipper, and I also still think they flushed Steve's character development down the toilet (Peggy's too) 🤷🏻♀️

I read his book in middle school. It broke my heart, the way he was treated.

Hope you had a good podcast or audiobook to listen to!

Katy may find this pose empowering. Feminism is letting women decide what is empowering for them, not policing their bodies or the way they choose to or not to display them. This is just repackaged slut-shaming 🤷🏻♀️

Does freezing spending mean federal employees won't get their annual cost of living raise? Because now more than ever we need it.

Women as a gender are not a monolith. Women's experiences are not all the same. Men's experiences are not all the same. There are exceptions to every rule. Rigid thinking just puts people in boxes when the human experience is more like a venn diagram with outliers present.

And yeah, trans women who've had bottom surgery could be raped by a bigger man, especially if they took puberty blockers and experienced female puberty instead of male puberty. Women's issues are also trans women's issues, go troll somewhere else. 2/2

Just say you're trans misogynist and go. Some cis women don't have to live in fear of unplanned pregnancy because of medical reasons that make them infertile. Does that make them less of a woman? 1/2

I'm American, and I'm appalled he got elected again! I refuse to feel sorry for the people who voted for him while we get embarrassed on the national stage.

As an American, I wish he would've.

It was called Powerless, about insurance provider employees in the DC universe dealing with claims in the aftermath of villain/hero fights.

Rei and Ami look like they might be Sera Myu inspired? One of their musical costume designs is similar, with the pearls and lacy embellishments.

that may not be your preferred genre broadens your mind and gives you greater understanding of the world. 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings' is certainly not an easy read, but it helped me understand resilience and how a person can persevere through multiple hardships. 2/2

Counterpoint: Books become classics because they have universal themes that are still relevant no matter the time period. Saying that reading a book that is considered a classic, regardless of whether or not it's easy to read, is "elitism" is just anti-intellectual. Exposing yourself to books 1/2

No, you just don't like to read. The Great Gatsby, Pride and Prejudice, Moby Dick, The Scarlet Letter, and many, many more are widely regarded as classics by thousands if not millions of people, for good reason.

The Grapes of Wrath isn't that bad, it's just the story is a downer, and sometimes you've gotta be in the right headspace for stuff like that. Also, the classics are classics for a reason, whether we appreciate those reasons or not.

I'm a preschool teacher, and we learned this week we can't plan lessons around diversity for the kids (we're federally funded and on an army installation). It's maddening.

I just think that words mean things, and insisting that reading and listening are the same thing is wrong. It's not lesser to listen to an audiobook, but you used your ears, not your eyes (or fingers, in the case of braille), so it's not reading.
