What about Declan?

I’ll save it for my night run. I’ll be breezing through the streets of Lima with tears in my eyes.

Villa fans are going to get the full Emery treatment aren’t they? Almost make it to the CL semis, almost make it to the CL next season and almost winning the FA.

So now the striker he wants to keep won’t want to stay without CL and the one who is staying is super pissed and would want to go 😂

He sounds absolutely pissed off (and rightly so) for having missed the PSG games from the start. Wouldn’t surprise me if he push for a summer move.

Great piece as usual Tim. We are lucky to have him, he is a very principled manager, and the mindset he has installed is carrying us through. Can’t think of anyone else i would rather have managing Arsenal.

Serves him well for trying to injure Declan. Dirty player.

How did Sesko play? As an Arsenal fan l’m curious if he is having a good season.

A true gunner. I remember him posting a video after a NL derby victory trolling that lot even though he was playing in Italy at the time.

Everybody was on us (rightly so) when we ended 8th twice. You have all the right to be mad, 15th is unaceptable.

This is the biggest club in England. It’s like if Real Madrid were at 15th in La Liga. Of course its going to be a pile on. If anything i think it should be worst.

That’s what they deserve for having Sérgio Conceição as coach

Is Joao Felix the most over rated player ever? Never understood the price tag and the pedigree of clubs he has play for.

Bielsa’s Leeds suffer with injuries, Ange’s Celtic too. Klopp hit you hard in certain moments of the game but once the damage was done they managed the game. On the other hand, the alternative is that Spurs have a bunch of very brittle players, thats even more worrying.
comment in response to
post
But just maybe a good chunk of those injuries are caused by Ange’s training methods and style of play. Going full throtle for 90 minutes can’t be good for hamstrings. Ultimately the coach brought that to himself.

Our least productive top scorers for a PL season with 11 goals have been Saka in 21/22, and Van Persie twice in 06/07 and 08/09. Do you think that record will be broken this season?

Good one, I second this question. Newcastle for me.

It’s a big deal for them. Nolberto Solano going to Newcastle made me a PL follower for life.

Hi James, a bit out of topic, but is Arsenal looking at Liam Delap? The kid looks like a handful. 22 yro and 10 goals for a bottom three team is impressive.

Every damn gamble the club took on players fitness hasn’t pay off, and with each injury the chances of the remaining fit players to get injured increase. It’s a terrible vicious cicle.

But we have to get someone in or else we risk running Havertz to the ground. A loan for Tel would be more sensible imho. This season we ain’t gonna win anything, too many things went against us.

Given our current situation, Laca’s transfer is a cautionary tale. Don’t sign someone for the sake of it.

United will have to pay Rashford to leave. The same happend when Artera got rid of some high profile players. It was a bitter pill to swallow but it was for the better in the end. The problem is apparently ManU don’t have the money to do so.

The ref is having a nightmare. He is so poor. I’m also tired of Joelinton’s antics.

I have a feeling we will have to sell someone we would rather keep for mega bucks to fund our attack. I´m beggining to think it should be Saliba rather than Gabriel.
comment in response to

He is going to be a useful player but not one for the long term. The only cons about this deal was the price, considering he only had one year left in his contract, and that he won’t have a significant resale value due to his age.

We couldn’t do much last summer because of the Rice deal. The Pepe outlay set us back big time. We can’t afford 100M players every window even if we get it right.
comment in response to
post
Thats the problem. There isn’t one. You have to gamble with players in the 40-60M bracket and not older than 25. I like Kudus but West Ham will want and arm and a leg for him. Isak is not realistic.
comment in response to
post
And we did try to get the young upcoming attacker in the summer, but Sesko decided to stay in Germany.
comment in response to
post
I agree. Spending 100M+ should give you a player that will almost certainly transform you, like Rice did. Getting it right with fowards its even harder. Hopefully Nwaneri will become something special soon, but we still need to add a Jota or Trossard type of player.

I don’t want to be too reactive but bring him. He played like someone who wants a Janaury move to a big team.

Shift him to the left wing with Havertz up front. They could rotate during the game. Martinelli’s and Trossard’s form justifies this.
