Of the (slightly) lesser-known titles I can highly recommend Play Dirty, The Steel Helmet, Guns At Batasi and A Walk In The Sun.

Stone Cold (1991); although a part of me thinks that’s just a straight-up five-star movie.

Particularly love “the boring bits”; the moments of quiet contemplation when Robert McCall briefly glimpses a beautiful world at rest, a world he can never be part of. I almost never want those inevitable bloody action sequences to actually arrive.

You have to unpick the story first as it's very confusing. Most of it is here 1. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songs_o... and here 2. www.discogs.com/release/1346...

Graphic design is by Valérie Lagarde and I think she also chooses the artworks. This one is a a photo (!) by Benoit Paillé called 'White rock on a dry part of the Mud Lake in Black River Spruce Provincial park, Alberta, Canada,2015'. www.discogs.com/artist/32963...

I knew he was a boy soprano/treble who originated the role of Miles in Britten's The Turn of the Screw*. Didn't realise he had kept up with the singing. *Britten's interest in Hemmings ceased abruptly from the moment his voice broke. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_H...

I mean, yes and no. It's not been out of print since Numero reissued it in 2007 but how many people do you actually encounter in everyday life who know of its loveliness.

I do scientifically believe that crisps are the best medium for soaking up excess adrenalin after a gig. Years of research have proved this.
