Kumo Desu holds out for like 5 volumes, which I think is the longest I've seen. It's dire out there.

describing it as "the movie where ICE puts innocent people on a rocket ship going into the sun" isn't actually accurate but it's like... pretty close.

I think the game is lesser for its removal, but I don't think people were being immature. It ended up riding the line between metaphor and implication in a way that feels... out of step, even with the darker tone of its context. It isn't ground to tread lightly.

Liking a new shounen series should always come with the implicit understanding that it will probably become Bad by the time it's over. Then if it doesn't that's a nice surprise.

you can make it look kind of cool if you pose it more like a conductor's baton. Get a bit of an angle going. "Badass" is definitely out of reach, though. Undoubtedly the most dweeby form of casting implement.

but where's the fun in that?

the only one of these I'd ever seen before was one about a kitten becoming a firefighter(? I think?) but it was extremely clear that the only reference the AI had for "burning building" was 9/11. What a technology.

A lot of those real Nazis are the same people the left has been calling Nazis for the last decade. So like. Turns out it was accurate the whole time.

syndrome requires it to be more than that. I'm not a doctor or a psychologist so I can't give you the exact requirements, but it's similar to how "video game addiction" isn't considered a real thing, despite the fact that some people do play so many video games that it becomes a problem.

I feel like there's a language disconnect when people say "X behavioral addiction does/does not exist." Any behavior can become compulsive, and any behavior will be detrimental if you do it to the exclusion of everything else in your life. To say that "X addiction" exists as its own discrete (1/2)

so says the study, at least.

On the contrary, porn addiction gets far *more* attention than its actual frequency merits. The level of porn use where it is *actually* directly harming your life is much rarer than the perception of someone as "addicted" or "out of control" because porn is seen as inherently harmful.

that's not actually what the study is about. It's not that religion predicts porn use. It's that religious people feel worse about their porn use, and that the negative side effects of "porn use" scale based on how bad you feel about it, rather than on how much of it you use.
comment in response to
post
The study finds that negative social and health effects are related far more strongly with how bad one feels about their pornography use, rather than the quantity of pornography use. So whether the "dopamine restructuring" is real or not, it does not appear to be a significant practical issue.

3 out of these 4 have multiple sets of arms, but no two do it in the same way. This is an excellent thing you have made.

In games that are 100% based on team building (gatcha games like Limbus or Arknights) it works okay. But if your game has anything else going on it mostly just overcomplicates things.

I don't pay a huge amount of attention to that sort of thing, but I only heard of one guy who was called out for B. That's obviously bad but it's not like. A trend.

to be fair, in BG3 it can be kind of hard to avoid. But yeah, agreed. A lot of them probably believe it, too, until they're actually presented a good romance option with a character they like.

they do! Kinda. Then they get bad again in part 2. I'd say polish off part 1 and then wait for part 2 to be done before jumping in. It seems like it's ramping up to the endgame right now so we're currently hanging out at an all-time low. Part 1's ending is satisfying on its own though.
