I write hyper-local satirical pieces of guff every now and then, and I'm pretty good at SEO (don't tell anyone, it's a secret). I like beer, too.

Exactly the same as in the USA - the Democrats had the "educated" votes all wrapped up. They needed to aim lower. It'll be interesting to see how the Tories handle this now. After being hammered in the general election, they seemed to go even more right-wing. A mistake.

Underrated post☝️

Stormzy/Five Guys for me.

There was one when Prince performed and it was amazing. All others have been a shitshow.

Jack Whitehall just made a funny joke re: Stormzy and Five Guys, but in general, it's excruciating guff. Apparently The Cure are on. If Reeves Gabriels doesn't swipe someone with his guitar, it's a moment lost.

It's confusing me. Why is it always so consistently crap?

The FB author posted this, which looks old and legit. www.bowiewonderworld.com/diaries/diar...

I think Ukraine will probably have something to say about that.

He's an absolute goon.

Exactly, that's unfortunately the problem. Until they get hit in the pocket, or worse, they just won't get it. It'll take a while.

I know I'm overly optimistic and also across the pond, but I really think things will spectacularly unwind for Trump. Until that happens, I guess all I can do is wish you the very best of luck.

I get it. Life's a shitstorm and I dont envy you and your leaders. It's nearly beer o'clock here, I'll raise drink to you. <clinks glass>

You completely missed the bit I wrote after "Unless...". It was just a comment, I see no mic drop.

They really didn't rake anyone. It's obvious that these shows are scripted, unless, maybe, English isn't your first language or English humour isn't what you're used to. It was simply information. It's cool.

I would gladly chip in.

I smell a lot of it here. Calm the actual fuck down.

It's baffling. I mean, she surely knows this? It's bonkers, but we live in a world where people will believe it and repeat it anyway.

Leopards, faces, eating etc. etc.

I really hope so. The orange buffon and his nazi sidekick need to suffer.

Unfortunately, it takes a while, but history shows that they will be defeated. Their plans won't work.

Well, that makes far better sense!

This! I remember a local "radio personality" a few decades back who, for some reason, many held in high regard. His lack of compassion nearly led to someone being left in an extremely vulnerable position, and he couldn't see it. He was "right", simply because people bestowed fame upon him.

Well, this is odd. There's surely no justification to use the excuse "Tory legacy" if the reasons for doing it are good and based on sound science?
comment in response to post
Oh bloody hell. This is just horrible.
comment in response to post
Surely this is a good thing?

Actual LOL!

It's a stupid idea, it would never happen, but he's literally paid to make this stuff up. It's just column filling fluff.

Hard agree👍

As I said, he's an arse. I still like his beer though (just had a Hawkstone), and Top Gear, Grand Tour are brilliant, and he's done wonders for farming. But he's an arse. A massive, petulant, bloated, gammon of an arse. So, I don't read his columns, or watch shows where it's just him. Win-Win.
comment in response to post
He's an arse, everyone here knows he's an arse. Also, the article is a farce (that rhymes, but that's an accident). He gets paid to make stuff up, so he does. But even so, if you read it thoroughly, he's actually saying anyone should be able to bid for a country, he's not saying they should invade.

Although Clarkson is an arse, he's not a brexiteer, not even close, he apologised to every French person he met.

This doesn't worry me at all. Farage will just go on a massive Wetherspoon's binge with his cronies, spaff it all up the wall, squirrel the rest away to pay for his houses and spend even more time on a luxury yacht. Hopefully in a storm. Near some rocks.

Ohhhh maaan, Bluesky just keeps on giving!!! Copying that glorious word to my Profanisaurus!

I can only imagine that "journalists" are now just interns who filter through AI generated crap which gives them stats for potential engagement and all they have to do press "publish".

A tiny fine, they should get life.

Someone needs to get some AI fired up to turn those snowspeeder cables into tinsel.

Working to pub time is a fave of mine. People think that means I work late, but in reality...

I know little about either potential buyer other than an interview with the main Tortoise guy on the radio. He came across like Swiss Tony, very smooth. Is this new bid a better option?
comment in response to post
I watched the debate. It was incredible and heartening to see sensible, measured, and compassionate views from both sides. While I get the worries of those against it, if handled correctly (and there's a lot to do yet), it's surely a step towards a more dignified end for many.

Pretty sure the idea was "SOVURINTEEEEE!". So open to interpretation, I guess.
