My daughter-in-law is having her first baby in August (my first grandchild) and she doesn’t want anyone visiting or seeing the baby for at least a month, including me. My feelings are hurt, and I’d love to hear what others think about this.

Here’s the pavlova dessert (with coconut ice cream) I had at Notable—the restaurant in Calgary last night. 🍽️ Lovely flavours, with lemon curd and mango coulis.

We’ve decided that since we’re not going on a trip this summer, we’re going to enjoy #Penticton to the utmost. Yesterday we had espresso martinis and truffle fries on a restaurant patio before swimming in #OkanaganLake, and this morning enjoyed coffee and cake at Roadz End near the marina.

Went to a “Chari-tea” at Poplar Grove winery raising money for the oncology unit at #Penticton hospital. A very good cause.

A beautiful dragonfly chilling on a blade of grass just behind my lemon balm, close to the ground. I didn’t even notice it and had just broken off some lemon balm to show my daughter when she spotted it. Got some good close-ups with the big camera. #dragonfly #summergarden 🌱
