Aww.. that's nice... and not in any way a precursor to many years of conflict.

Yeah, good points. I get that the generic guidance is primarily for web accounts, but even then security standards change for web site developers, for example iteration counts for password hashing.
Whilst public guidance has to be kept simple - there are benefits to changing occasionally.

Personally when I change a device, I consider it for critical passwords - I've worked for the same place for 27 years, hence my long view on this.

I do wonder if there's a bit of a halfway house on this - i.e. password changes every 42/90 days is clearly not great. However, leaving passwords unchanged for years doesn't feel a good plan either - though with MFA and good device security policies perhaps still not a big issue.

It's like none of them have seen a Gartner hype cycle.. They think they're heading to enlightenment/ productivity, but for LLM it is inflated expectations. However, the capabilities in some spaces are hard to ignore with just a bit more predictability and control.

If its really just old PCs then sure. Though if it's the backend stuff then it'll be a great way to tie them up in knots for years.

My wife (definitely the middle class one in our house) recently went to posh sports gear shop "Sweaty Betty". I couldn't help myself but play the song for her.

Yeah, he now has to follow through on the mad rhetoric, otherwise he is the loser that we say he is. Oh well capitalism had a good(?) run.

Bozo Johnson being back in charge of the Tory party for the next election is a safe bet. Despite how we were all sick of the sight of him - he'll be back.

Is there a "4D chess" type explanation that Labour are keeping their powder dry on the more positive stories, because, frankly, it's still miles away from the next GE and policy results will take time to actually be felt?
