No-one bats an eye over Israel that also has nuclear weapons and isn’t a moral nation by any means.

There you go. I stand corrected. Thought they used kg.

Weight in pounds makes it the US. Works out to be the best part of $7/kg in AUD - not really a bargain.

He was a true servant of the public - shows up the current career politicians for what they are.

They're clutching at straws over there, aren't they?

Puts the present crop of politicians to shame.

Definitely a see-sawing battle. That the Sydney Test won't be a dead rubber is the icing on the cake - need the weather to stay good.

Trying to curry favour with a section of the electorate that wouldn’t vote for them in a pink fit.

They’re turning in their graves I suspect. I long for the days when Labor wasn’t afraid to call out bigotry.

Heartbreakingly difficult to watch.

When he says ‘debt’, he obviously is talking about private sector debt because government debt isn’t the issue and, in the federal sphere at least, there are budget surpluses. The elephant in the room is the size of mortgages because a place to live is extremely expensive.
comment in response to post
At least the SMH marks the story as opinion. In the Murdoch press it'd be in the news section - maybe on the front page.
comment in response to post
This is no different to the Journalists that ignore the targeting of the press in Gaza.

All are countries with which the US runs a trade deficit. The US runs a hefty trade surplus with Australia so maybe we’ll dodge that bullet?

Not an economist by any means but won’t this just punish Joe (or Jane) Average with higher prices and fuel inflation?

Lining us up for the “impossible to get a fair trial” argument.

Comes from being generally a fair skinned populace in a dark people’s country. Even in a place like Sydney where some summer days can be mild (on the coast anyway) the UV is savage.

How does she not run out of these?

Being a “shadow” anything implies an Opposition party - or at least an alternative government. Musk has a large say in things now.
