oh and OG Candyman, The People Under the Stairs, Carrie, and CHUD. The 70s - early 90s had a lot more working class characters and settings so that's what comes to mind first.

"His House" is about Sudanese refugees in England in poor housing dealing with a haunting. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/His_House

lol those last few episodes of season 2 were TENSE. It didn't help that the interior illusions lounge was open bar. Season 2 would cause actual riots if it aired with the current fandom.

You can find hundreds of these kinds of disturbing cartoons with a simple google image search. None of this is new. Whatever weird bizarre shit you see bigots doing, they have been doing. They are just emboldened enough by the cesspool of social media to advocate for it publicly.

Is Eric Adams going to be on the Turkish Olympic team?

true, but i'm talking specifically about the high schoolers motown recruited. they moved up here young or had migration parents who kept church traditions. We had teachers in DPS were set musicians and played in their own groups at jazz clubs. They were often an extension of the church pipeline.

Even if you disagree about it being the best local news clip (i.e you are wrong), you can't argue that it's not the most Detroit ass shit you've ever seen, which makes it the best for me.

The same white boomers who didn't want integrated schools and don't want to fund public education are the first ones to talk about how much they love Motown. Drives me insane.

my new policy is to not respond to "hi" unless you are a VIP (who clearly doesn't know how messaging works). If it's important you'll say wtf you want eventually. But combing the the eyedropper messaging with not linking the ticket? Jail! 100 years!

Yeah, I don't want generative art of any kind, but "summarize this highly technical document I wrote about the ongoing incident so I don't have to waste time dealing with executives at 1 am" and "show me an example of how to use this bizarre api to accomplish x" seem fine.
