The EHRC is collapsing into authoritarianism. Their Chair says it's "unacceptable to question the integrity of the regulator", but when an EHRC commissioner openly tells trans people to accept fewer rights, the integrity is already gone. The Amazing @jessicaharriet.bsky.social covers this:

Now seeing examples of the trans symbol being used as a unisex symbol for toilets and ewww no thats horrible it doesn’t mean unisex it means trans segregation

Let's fucking gooooooo

Come home when the streetlights come on, don't talk to strangers, and don't let your little sisters die

Stimulating the british economy by inventing the toilet guardian as a cadet branch of the military Silly uniform and everything. Obviously it comes with a little hat

Trans voices have been so systematically removed from the conversation about our rights that even cis folk trying to be outspoken allies don't know anything about what we actually demand from society.

The GOAT of what? Trans segregation? 'Where trans feel safe' lol...

If you kill me I drop a +2 Belt of Giant Strength (weightlifting belt), a Cursed Headband of Hyper focus, and assorted chems.

please don't make a trans league for any sport ever. what the fuck is wrong with our allies dawg

About to spend the day crushing nerds at card games with this absolute smoke show 💥 @ashleynova.space

Never let it be said that I understand did it for a Magic Prerelease event.

The Guardian have changed the headline for the *third time* today.

🚨🚨CALL TO ACTION🚨🚨 The new EHRC chair candidate, Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson, has a history of transphobic actions. MPs *must* scrutinze her. Sign the open letter and use the template to email the WEC to demand MPs protect trans rights! docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... docs.google.com/document/d/1...

My right to privacy trumps your curiosity or irrational fear of whether I might be trans or not.

Right, today I need to stop being angry and distracted and go write something.

The mask really is off. We've been simmering in this space for a few years, tbh, and queer solidarity is vital.

Well you see its the equalities and HUMAN rights commission and we can all agree transgendereds are not human

This is shameful, absolutely disqualifying stuff from Reindorf and Cunningham. Neither should ever be taken as an authority on human rights (or law) again. www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

The "people" thing is key. Trans people are parents. Siblings. Friends. Colleagues. We're part of society. Making (for example) public access to basic sanitation all but impossible is an unconscionable act of cruelty. Most people can see that. Human rights aren't a zero sum game. Gloves off.

My mum actually couldn't believe what Akua Reindorf said. I've never seen her type in all caps before in my entire life

"Perceived rights"

Shit like this alongside the Telegraph reporting on anyone not excluding trans people as somehow breaching the law since the SC ruling indicates a strategy to try to just... convince people that the law is different than it is. Our media loves to create alternate realities at the behest of bigots.

This was a point I argued to my MP last week, that trans people have been using gendered facilities in this country for DECADES without issue or incident, and that we have had the right to do so established in case law for over 20 years. To say otherwise is wilfully ignorant or malicious.

At least they've stopped pretending this was ever about "reasonable concerns". On that note, fuck every equivocating, snivelling, cowardly centrist lib who has ever run cover for this discriminatory, segregationist, and eliminationist agenda.

Poor Akua 🥺 Wait, the Guardian? Are they not friends?

In finally admitting that they're trying to take away our rights, they're also admitting that we have exercised these rights for years -decades- and there hasn't ever, ever been an issue with it

I thought I was being somewhat caricature-ish in the courtroom setup of my 'Sanity of Sex Change' essay, but apparently it pales in comparison to the actual things a British official would say

You're not really losing your rights. You just think you had rights.

Holy shit, look what the Guardian did. They changed it "Transgender people must accept a perceived reduction in their rights after the supreme court decision on gender because they “have been lied to over many years” about what their rights actually were..>"

An excellent 🧵🧵🧵🧵🧵 👇👇👇

It is absolutely intolerable that the Labour Government has another committed transphobe as their preferred candidate as new head of the EHRC. I rather doubt that the Women's and Equalities Committee has even been consulted.
