Trans people were lied to?? Using services based on “self ID” (the gender role in which they present) regardless of GRC is right there in the EHRC’s 2011 Code of Practice. It’s in the EHRC’s own 2022 guidance. The Labour Gov recognised this too a matter of months ago. This is horrific gaslighting.

I've been really tempted to try out a Katana Extension for triceps for a bit, but there's never a pair of cables free at my gym to do it.

I was just talking to my partner the other day about renewing my passport a bit early so that I don't get caught out if Labour try to change the rules of sex markers.

I don't think you're overthinking it at all! Charlotte's relationship with her dad is different to her relationships with Elly and Jen, and I certainly hope that comes through in the narrative 😅

Honestly I just knock the scoop back into my mouth and down a glass of water, much easier than trying to get it to mix.

Make sure that you take Creatine Monohydrate, specifically, not any other formulation. It's unlikely that you'd need more than 5g a day unless you are a lot bigger than average, but it can help to take 10g a day for the first two weeks so that your muscles reach saturation quicker, then drop to 5g.

In resistance training that increased performance lends itself to more gains, if you can squeeze out a couple extra reps you will trigger extra muscle growth. It's a surprisingly simple mechanism. But it is incremental, we're not talking injecting Anavar or Test levels of performance enhancment.

Creatine is one of the most well-tested and effective fitness supplements on the market. It's a molecule that your own body creates (a way to store energy to be converted into ATP), and improves performance in all kinds of training.

Should be noted that this isn't "the British labour government", as the EHRC is ostensibly an independent organisation. Still bad though.

And was common practice for decades before that

You read that right. It has been established case law for over 20 years that trans people can use single sex services like toilets in accordance with their expressed gender, and that right existed even before we had any kind of legal gender recognition in this country.

I did consider putting a warning label or disclaimer in the foreword along the lines of "Danger: Highly likely to confirm or inspire suspicions of ADHD in readers."

It's finally made it to the top of my to-read pile (only taken me 6 months), and I'm really enjoying it so far. A lot of the reviews warn how relatable Charlotte is, but I was still taken completely off guard by a seemingly innocuous line near the beginning of chapter 5.

That little scene with Charlotte and her dad is honestly one of my favourites.
