Yeah, it’s the same with everything. I’m done shopping for a new PC (March) and glasses (last week), and I’m still getting ads for both.

I love 3d rendering too, and it actually taught me a lot about art in general (how light works, good posing, camera angles, etc.), and yes, it is annoying how genAI encroaches on everything and ruins the perceptions. Here's to real art, be it traditional or digital, prevailing anyway!

In my first draft, I usually make a lot of typos, homonyms included, though, funnily, its/it's, their/they're/there, and you're/your I usually get right. It's rare that I write "its" instead of "it's." Other homonyms, though, are definitely not so lucky. 🀣

Yeah. And then, there's homonymes too. I once wrote "wrapped his arm around her waste." I caught it myself (this time, lol), and I started to get the articles right, but tenses still prove a little tricky at times. But I'm learning as my editor fixes stuff. Love the name "hadhads" by the way :D

Oh wow! Our processes definitely differ a lot :D And if it's any consolation, I don't even know what snapshots are (I love Scrivener but only use what I need).

Typos, though, are definitely doable and in abundance. And bad grammar. 😁 Being a second language speaker means that without my editor, my manuscript is full of wrong grammar choices like articles, preposition, and even past perfect tense where it doesn't belong.

That sounds like it would make it easy to prove. My initial drafts are usually in Scrivener, and unless I do some heavy rewrites, I just work in the same project, and even if some specific scene is rewritten in a separate card, I delete the old one later, so not much of a proof :(

Yeah. It's disheartening how AI encroaches on everything and ruins it in the process. 3d rendering has been around for at least 20 years. But then comes the genAI... My biggest fear is that one day I'll have to "prove" that I didn't use genAI. It's easy-ish for art, but for writing? It's impossible.

Like, yea, you say? 🀣 English language never ceases to amaze me.

To me, there are two different things. πŸ˜… YEA = lazy "yes" or unenthusiastic. YEAH - enthusiastic yes. So yeah, you πŸ˜‰

Thank you. That gif sums it up... Except my coffee is decaf 😭At least the brain is cheated by the flavor.

Uh-oh... Good I did write two more books. πŸ˜…

At least there are two more books to go. Imagine if it was only a duology... 😈

That's the spirit! (Also, any excuse for reading is a good excuse, right?)

Yeah, I had a series like that where I had to split. Only three books, but extremely long and a lot of going on. After two, I was worn out a bit.

This is an apartment complex, so solutions are limited, unfortunately. And the leasing office is not a place where they care.

I think the universe is giving you the clear message of "play more video games" 🀐 But resist! Write that book! Write all the books!

More than I thought, less than I'd like to ;)

Same here, I write down more than I can do, but I find it takes off the mental burden of trying to remember it "for later".

A company that has its website still firmly in the 90s and still has practices that verge on exploitative when it comes to indie authors speaking about innovation... Praising AI seems in line with the above.

You're just being creative with it! πŸ˜‰

Awww, thank you! Though truth be told, I make a lot of mistakes, especially while talking. I just happen to have a good editor for my books, so my readers don't have to suffer my many slips :) It's been 8 books, and while I learned a lot, my books still come back red with correction from my editor.
