Well, listening to the Today programme is a labour of love these days.

If that doesn’t work, maybe it’s time for a holiday?

Even worse, it could have been Robert Jenrick and if there is a leadership contest I suspect he may well win.

Very worrying as I fear it will not only affect people in the USA but spill over to many other countries in the world.

I wrote to my MP and to my dismay he said that he was very unlikely to support the amendment. I too shed some tears. I had such high hopes of finally getting a Labour MP.

Perhaps Gibraltar joining the customs union is a trial run to see how much of an uproar there is before we all get to benefit from doing so? One can only hope 🤞

Which begs the question of why the government hasn’t sorted this out. Perhaps they are happy to continue with the status quo, sadly

Haven’t they been tracking that way for some time already?

Developing policies I think. Surely they should have done that before they were elected?

It’s been reported in #WestBridgfordWire that Reform have cancelled a load of #NottsCountyCouncil June meetings and the consequences are that it will affect services

I agree it is the policy that matters, not the party. The Labour Party has been a big disappointment in many ways so far but I do think that Reform would be a whole lot worse

They may deserve what they get at the polls but the country deserves better than a Reform led government. That would help very few of those who need help the most

Where is Westminster working for? It doesn’t feel like it’s working for Nottingham

Farage wouldn’t stand a chance. Hestletine would wipe the floor with him.

Sadly in my area the Green Party put a candidate’s name on the ballot paper (both in the election last week and at the general election) but didn’t provide any information about the candidate. Can people be expected to vote if they get no information about who they are being asked to vote for?

If only the Labour government were doing these things (though I’m sure they claim they are doing things that make people’s lives better). The rest, not so much.

If Labour wants to rehab, look to Canada and Australia. Don’t play populist games. Call the moment what it is - crisis for Democracy. Walk back stupid stances!

So glad to see that my MP @jamesnaish.bsky.social is one of the 60 Labour MPs

The way things are going I’m not sure it will take until 2029 before people will be in that mood. They seem far too focused on who might vote for Reform rather than doing what is right for the UK which is more likely to earn them votes when the time comes.
