I knit, I bake, I read, I run. (contexo, coquo, lego, curro) English in Canada and Lefty in the tweedy Bennite sense. Deliberately dull. Deliberately kind. Deliberately anti fascist. Radio fan and Archers addict, maker of pretty decent curries.

It's the 1st of June, so that means it's time to drag out my favourite video. Happy #Pride month to those that celebrate

Welcome to the Enshittocene, AI slop is already ruining what was the pitiful remains of the internet, after algorithms told us what to read and think, then fascist bots dominate posts and bots comment in reply.

#Parkrun Happy with my time, I should have slowed my pace in the first km, but felt good, so I let my body set the pace, plus I need to get in more high intensity aerobic runs. Post turnaround vert wasn't as tough as usual, but the old hips were feeling it a bit more, still average pace is good.

Dear Mr de Worde I found a humourously shaped vegetable in my fingerling potatoes, I hope this submission is suitable for the Ankh Morpork Times. Yours Mr Wintler

#Runsday Wednesday, a new (to me) trail in Victoria Park, #truro. #rushsky #run

I love this so much #Dogs are the best people

Ugh Helen, you are the worst. Your date (hate that word) slags off your friend, who cares enough about you to get his husband to eat at the next table to rescue you if needed, and laugh and you ignore it because why? You couldn't say, "oh that's my friend, my cousins husband" Vile #TheArchers

I see that someone discovered what I was doing with my action men in the early 80's

Rhododendron canadense, aka Canada rosebay My absolute favourite sign of spring

No crown? "it wasn’t the wearing of the hats that counted so much as having one to wear. Every trade, every craft had its hat. That’s why kings had hats. Take the crown off a king and all you had was someone good at having a weak chin and waving to people. Hats had power. Hats were important.

Monday evening #running was a change up from our usual trail and only about 4km from my home, the group wanted to walk today after their weekend relay run (Cabot Trail relay), so I ran to the trail from home, walked and chatted with my group, and then ran home. Local wildlife put on a good show too

Media literacy is incredibly important TL/DR Sheeran was once homeless, wants a fence and gate on his house to stop the paparazzi harassing him and his neighbours, the media who benefit from paparazzi intrusion report on it as him being a hypocrite and wanting an "Anti-homeless" fence.

Watching my friend Uli on the pcpep.org podcast talking about his #prostatecancer diagnosis. #StatusUpdate from: https://status.cafe/statuses/137630

Good old Nova Scotia weather today for #Parkrun, cold and damp to start, warm and Blackfly'y at the end. (note Blackfly on m'nose and neck). New #Goodr sunnies were awesome, didn't bounce or slip. Great time too. 10s faster than last week, so well on my way to reclaiming my 26m pr, which is nice.

She's been "sat" like this for a few minutes now

Sacha Coward has it right @sachacoward.bsky.social I'm old enough to remember all the arguments against gay rights and marriage equality

Dirk Bogarde (front) in a rare photograph with his partner Anthony Forwood (rear) They met when they acted together in 1952. In 1956 Forwood retired from acting and became Bogardes "manager". The couple lived together for nearly 40 years until Forwoods death in 1988. #Gayhistory

David Archer Attempting a smile? Just how much ludicrous fiction are the scriptwriters expecting us to swallow at the moment #theArchers

Exactly this

Hey Sound up for this one you'll thank me

I absolutely love this poem by @holliemcnish.bsky.social – 5 in 6 boys think Andrew Tate is a prick

Confidently predicting that we are in some Shakespearean Cyrano de Bergerac crossover situation, where Natasha will be posing as Helen, only for it to be revealed that Brian is doing the talking for Martin Lawks and japes ensue, followed by Martin exiting pursued by a bear (rewilded) #TheArchers
