I saw the Mustangs flying over Reston, VA yesterday. My grandfather flew the P-51D over Europe for the Air Corps and he would have hated this vulgar vanity project.

Np. Agreed that it's a tough subject, but animal study-based research has almost certainly saved millions of lives (human AND animal). I don't think anyone working with these animals takes their sacrifices lightly. hms.harvard.edu/research/ani...

I have 5 cats. I love cats. I draw the line on medical ethics at the virtue of the goal and the methods taken to limit harm. I think this study is virtuous and is designed to limit harm.
