Recording my 1st album. I chose a short deadline, hoping it'd push me. I still find ways to avoid it. Yesterday, I actually tried to record bass, but it was quiet with a lot of fret buzz. I got it recently and hadn't done a setup. Full setup took 3 hours, but now it plays great. I'll try again today

I've been really overdoing it lately. I gave myself far too much to do, and I'm about to be forced to cut way back. I tweaked a muscle in my lower back 2 days ago, and I re-aggravated my herniated disc today, L5/S1. I just need to get through tomorrow's tree planting with school kids.

Went off my adhd meds for a month, supplements too, due to a health issue. I wasn't sure the cause, so I wanted to be safe. Today's my 1st day back. I took a lower dose. When I 1st started them, it took me a while to realize they were working, but going off and back on is very noticeable.

My mom sent me a poem my grandma wrote that was published in a Washington state high school poetry anthology in 1939. I turned it into a song. The first verse is my grandma's poem, then I wrote the rest. I was kind of expecting to sit with it a while, but it came pretty easily.

I waited on hold with the VA for 90 minutes. When someone answered, the call glitched. The hold music stopped, there was silence, then about 20 seconds later I heard one exasperated sounding hello, but they couldn't hear me so they hung up.

If you need another reason not to use wix, they charged my non-profit's card for a 2 year renewal even though I had auto-renew turned off. I have to wait until tomorrow to do anything about it, because my co-owner account and my name being on the card aren't enough.

The other day, I dreamt I wrote an amazing song. I was so excited. Then I woke up and tried to hold on to any part of it long enough to record a voice memo. I couldn't. I've woken up and mumbled or hummed dream songs into voice memos a lot. I'm very disappointed I couldn't remember any of this one.

I'm getting library cards from library systems other than my local library. They have reciprocal agreements with some other area libraries, so if you have a card with one, you can get cards with the others. I'm hoping they have some of the audiobooks that mine doesn't, or shorter hold times.

Ending Medicaid will affect you even if you're not on it. It's 19% of the US healthcare market. Think of it like this. If your company's revenue dropped 19%, how many jobs are they cutting? Pay cuts? Closing locations? Going out of business? What if your business specialized, and it was a 50% drop?

When they fire the Chair of the Joint Chiefs and the Chief of the Navy next week, they’ll use words like DEI. The left will chalk it up to racism and sexism. But that’s only part of it. Mostly they just want people who they believe will carry out illegal or unethical orders.
