It's not too late to opt into bitcoin. In fact, you're probably still on the early side of this cycle. However, I would never price forecast. You should buy into bitcoin after you've learned about it, understand it, and believe in it.

At this point, the worst case scenario for bitcoin is that it continues to be what it is now, an alternative, more fungible equity than gold, property, etc. Best case is hyperbitcoinization. Reality is probably in the middle but indicates tremendous upside for bitcoin.

Most of the media conflates bitcoin with crypto. Yes, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. But the rest of the crypto ecosystem is a mix of programming ideas and pump and dump scams. Bitcoin is the only crypto currency that normal people should pay attention to.
