I've been using LM Studio's built in RAG feature to work through Serge Lang's Basic Mathematics and the qwen-2.5-14b model, while I wouldn't trust it for numeric calculations it seems pretty solid on conceptual stuff. You can also ask it to give you code to do the calculations instead.

There is a file .cursorignore that works much like .gitignore, you might check that node_modules or any other folders with code that you don't want in your context is listed there.

This is a great tip. Cursor will delete your stuff if you haven't commited. Sometimes this happens when your computer goes to sleep and wakes back up.

I feel the pain. Getting SSL certificates working in deployment was a big pain for me. I didn't know but I had been rate limited by my cert provider because it was being provisioned every time I deployed.
