He's still around and making music but under a different name; he didn't want the fame to ruin his music and he used so many samples in the song he was never going to be able to make money on it without getting sued. Seems like a good person from the interviews I've seen.

When I started teaching at Hardware Hacking Villages I didn't think I knew enough to actually teach but I figured I'd start with the basics. Years later I'm still mostly teaching the basics because that's what beginners need to know to get started and that's who comes to my villages.
