Running a high level (starting at 15) #DnD campaign to defeat Aremag the Dragon Turtle. The party is fully equipped for dragons and underwater encounters. After a brief fight during which Aremag escapes, they will eventually find Aremag dead, his empty shell hollowed out. But what killed him?

If you think “Audiobooks don’t count for book count” you can’t sit with us. #BookSky 💙📚

This is the cover idea we rejected for "A Spring Marrying" by Jon Rosebank. This was the stage in the WIP that we gave up and decided to try a different tack. I like it, but I think you will agree when you see the actual cover that it is better than this. #BookSky 💙📚 #HistFic #UKPublishing #Devon

Want to go.

The media and a lot of experts spend a lot of effort telling us we have to embrace AI but everything I see from AI is just utterly useless.

#genealogy Contact both your Federal and State elected officials and let them know that preserving historical newspapers is important to you. If the federal funding for preserving digital newspapers dries up, then states will have to take over funding for preserving their own papers.

I will say that, IF the submission is returned with an appraisal of the work, why it was rejected and what the writer would need to do to make it acceptable, then it may potentially be worth paying for. But that is what paid beta readers do.

Some of the people I do design work for are ... trying. Like, "why does a book have to have an even number of pages?" levels of trying. It wasn't that this time, but that comes up a LOT! I am not a patient man, so please may I have a medal for staying professional. Please?

Further to a #BookSky discussion yesterday, I am horrified by the idea of paid submissions. I've been asked how much I charge for submissions as if that was normal? Like asking a shop how much it costs to look in the window.

The number one cause of accidents is bad road design. Poor driver decisions is an additional factor in almost all cases. Photographers, however, are NEVER the cause. The police being utterly useless yet again. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Deep in an Irish rainforest like a Mayan temple, thickly blanketed in mosses, ferns, and trees, the remains of an ancient stone structure. Long ago, people lived here, or maybe stayed temporarily whilst minding cattle. A lost world, now enveloped in a sea of green. 🌎

I've never seen, or is it read?, Miraculous Ladybug, but I love these.

When AI creators say their business model doesn't work if they have to NOT steal training data, I think that tells you what you need to know. Schools shouldn't have anything to do with this kind of "technology." www.theverge.com/news/674366/... #AIIsAScam #TLSky #EduSky #SchoolLibrarians
