I think societal "thinking" pigeon holes itself into blind corners and dictates views contrary to the sensible & logical. Why can't one hold very conservative views on "this" and progressive or liberal views on "that"?
A wise person is not constrained.

As to be expected given the tariffs for entering into our largest trading market in the US.
It's been convenient and fruitful but now it's time for expansion and diversification.

It's human nature. You're using a swathe of the people as a single minded monolith. They have this space time in common and that predicates much of what you see. Look at older people as elders, not as a convenient scapegoat for everybody else's shortcomings.
And governance rules do need to change.

That's an odd thing to say, and exaggerated. Maybe as you mature you'll stop painting in black and white.

Mind boggling take. AI will redefine some sciences. Leaps will be made...I think.

Now that's a good question. Anything but a whiffle ball. Ultimately it doesn't matter.
Cost to fly AF1 from Palm Beach to Miami?
How many federal employees have lost their jobs since January? Has Trump ever voiced his wish to invade Canada?

You have one rare chance to ask a question and you ask if the turd dumping on you is still dumping on you.
Wasted chance.

Hard to imagine I know. But consider trial juries... But on a larger scale. It's being done, successfully, in many places in the world.

Make a mockery of whom meg? LBC or the politicians who make a mockery of democracy?
I agree with what LBC wants to accomplish but disagree on the approach.

I get it, I do. JT betrayed. Broken promise. Catch 22.
Seriously though between MC and PP which of the two do you think you'd have a reasonable and intelligent dialogue with on the subject of electoral reforms?
What other way besides via legislation? The courts? I don't have the answer.
comment in response to

Now's not the time. You'll get more success with Carney than with PP so dummy up and stop interfering

I'm inclined to ask if AI generated knowledge would do a Hannibal march across the Alps, or if it would do a MacArthur Inchon maneuver. Instead of teaching history, theory, and tactics how is it on the actual battlefield and in the theater?
When applied to current conflicts, what are you seeing?

Of course he has to be circumspect. Discretion is the better part... And he gets to keep the bow tie affectation going. Why dirty his rep. Plus one shouldn't try putting words in others mouths.. it's unsanitary.

🇨🇦 need to get creative. Get some f35s, some (gripens/typhoons/rafales), and build a CCA and robotic fighter drone industry.

I admire and am grateful for the immense contribution you are responsible for and have been a multi-year subscriber. I would like to see the publishing industry adopt micro-payments tech whereby I can pay per article? Or at least something reflective of current tech and not analog to paper days.

Transportation of electricity.
Safety.
Sustainability aspect of course.
Reserve/preserve fossil fuels for intractables like heavy transport and aviation.

Makes sense. AI vs intractable and AI will win. Increasingly. We will encounter more currently unknown intractables surfacing from AI solutions.
