You're witnessing democracy morphing into theocracy. Welcome to the nightmare.

!00% Trump -- 90. -- 80 -- 70 ...

Well, yes, he did what the constitution required. He deserves credit. But he helped create the monster that now exists. He did so because the monster gave evangelicals everything they wanted. Now we're on the verge of theocracy. Let's not forget his role in the decay of democracy.

Can't decide between the flotsam or jetsam shots. Any suggestions?

I doubt this act will have any lasting impact. We're in late stage capitalism, and there will be much suffering.

You may have to whisper.

A direct correlation only means two things tend to move together in a similar way. Even if what he says is true (which I doubt), it doesn't mean Fluoride CAUSES lower IQ. There's a correlation between left-handedness and dying. I don't think that suggests being left-handed causes one to die.

And there was an epidemic of "hysterical" women who needed to be institutionalized.

Same with every race/gender/class - the delusion that it'll be someone other than "me."

Too bad. I loved the earlier seasons. They used to have a kinda Boomer/Millennial repartee. Now they just yell. Maybe shitty writers.

Dunno. It seems they are all in on the conflict and neglect any depth. I turned off the Vegas episode half way through.

This is so fundamentally true. Thus so fundamentally tragic.

The ripple effects and unforeseen consequences of so many actions of this administration are just beginning to take root.

I'll just say Mitch McConnell, and leave it at that.

Not the same thing as the dems holding the majority.
comment in response to post
Not a shock, of course.

I actually think it makes a lot of sense to switch. It would reduce the small margin Republicans hold, and since she's holds her seat until 2029, she's safe. It gives dems a better chance to retake the senate. If she truly wants to do something practical, that would be It.

Her language isn't exactly a profile in courage. I don't trust her. If she's serious, she should switch parties. Do you really believe we will get to an impeachment where her vote will be the deciding one. We're a long way from that, thanks, in part, to her.

She's part of the problem

I'd like to believe that someone is capable of regaining my respect. But if I'm honest with myself, it's now a bridge too far.

You love somebody when you are willing to challenge their egregious actions. Not love in the sense of "my heart is open to you," but that love drives ones own actions to push back against hate.

Am I missing something? Isn't heterosexual synonymous with straight?
