The last time I saw my dad I gave him a hug said I love you and went to walk down the stairs to leave when I got one step down, turned around and gave him a second hug.

One of the best ways to make trump out himself is by inviting him to do his actual job. He either doesn't show and looks weak or he shows and inevitably makes himself look more stupid. Carney gives him opportunities to hang himself and he jumps for the rope happily.
