Some of it is serious, some of it is silly, most of it is babble.

I'm here for the pic. And the fact that it has little to do with your post.

I'm feeling ya on that one. With a nice tall glass of milk!

Agree, each book became progressively worse. Which is really unfortunate. I was fine with continuing the mediocre storytelling until I read the last chapter. I don't know why, but I don't see finding out what happened in those 12 hours will be eventful.

No. I'm too busy being sophisticated. By reading smut πŸ˜†

Lastly, I read Onyx Storm... I think I'm done with Rebecca Yarros. That book was a giant miss for me. I thought it was uneventful. It solidified that I don't like any of the main characters, except for Tairn. Oh! I started ACoTaR. We'll see how this goes. I'm already feeling meh about it.

I've read the 1st 3 Vols of Kakuriyo. It's def darker than the anime and I am still here for it. Aoi's grandpa is a straight up scoundrel in the manga. In the anime, I felt like he was portrayed more as a rascal and/or cheeky man. Ōdanna also seems to be more... Harsh.

Don't apologize! People shouldn't be hiding from this. This is the reality of the US. ICE has been trying to take kids from schools for months now.

Frieren was a really slow burn for me until she got to a certain city where all of a sudden shit gets serious. It seems like people drop off before that because of the slow pace. Also, how it's not chronological in its story telling. I love that in shows because it keeps me on my toes.

Maybe there's too much foreshadowing for me to πŸ‘€? Anyway, something's lacking for me and I can't quite put my finger on it. If things don't pick up for me during OS I'm done. I lied I'm rooting for Tairn. He's sassy, and always gets a chuckle out of me. He's the reason I'm reading at this point.

First you spoke of white people taco night, now you speak of ketchup is a coated condiment. I just -- I can't -- smh πŸ€ͺ

Dang man! Maybe Crunchyroll didn't want to pay for the dub? (I dunno how those things work). 0 is sub/dub, but the og is only sub. It's not on Hulu (of course). BUT I can play the game through Crunchyroll, so maybe I'll take that route.

Dude just deleted his post (I saw it, page refreshed and now it says it's been deleted). He probably couldn't handle everyone telling him he's an asshole and terribly in the wrong.

I can only find it sub, and I'm a dub peasant 😩 I'll have to make the time for it. After I make time for the Code Geass movies...

The next book/series I'm reading is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros Oh! I read the 1st vol of Kakuriyo. It seems to be darker than the anime, & I'm here for it. I'm on a wait list for the 2nd I'm also on a wait list for That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon. It sounds incredibly silly & ridiculous

I'm on a wait list for A Court of Thorns and Roses... SPOILER!!!! I'm not looking forward to it, but SJM introduced some characters from that series in the Crescent City series with no background info 🀬 I want to know what's up with the characters so 😩

My go-to's are typically Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. I don't like how GameStop runs things so I tend to avoid them. You may want to try out Gamefly. They tend to have great sales (throughout the year) on their used games to clear out the inventory.
comment in response to post
Well there's the problem. Use the app on your phone instead of the website.
comment in response to post
I dunno about the rentals, but their used game sales are fantastic. Their discs look and work great (like new), and they come with the original case.

I was going to take a break from the TV and read some. I've got a novel (House of Earth and Blood) and a manga (Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits) lined up.

Oh I know. I've watched loads and there's still more out there. My anime backlog is as long as my gaming backlog 😭

Now I'm upset at myself for sleeping on it for so long πŸ˜†

I finished My Happy Marriage today. I'm very conflicted about the ending. One part of me is happy and the other part is like "what?!? Oh come on now!" I enjoyed the journey nevertheless. Arata can join Suzaku in that dumpster. I don't believe him for one second!

😭 It takes place 500 years in the future. It came out in the early 2000s. It was all just fun and games....
comment in response to post
No, Idiocracy is a movie. A comedy, if you will, about a man who ends up in the future and finds that the US is a cesspool of idiots (and run by idiots).

Note to self: if you ask Jourdan how she's doing after she has worked out, know her answer is a lie!

That's been a concept, hun 😭 When turn-based have them, typically those actions are more like QTE (a color flashes and you can hit square to dodge or parry) and the characters are still standing in a row. Typically. Especially for JRPGs.

She is suing! She said fuck your offer; this shit shouldn't have happened in the first place!

Correction: you don't need more games you won't finish or play until next year 😘 Also, since when do you enjoy turn based RPGs?

Same here. I'm just saying that their American Dream is to have enough that they can live comfortably. It seems like once the family member(s) who immigrated here die, the dream turns into exorbitant wealth. It doesn't seem to matter if they made it to comfortable living.
comment in response to post
I blame it on the rags to riches stories that seem to proliferate in this country. A lot appeared during the mining rushes in the frontier and then moved on to people like Rockefeller & Carnegie I agree with you. I feel like a lot of people within being 2nd generation Americans feel the same.
comment in response to post
It also should be noted that some founders (and afterwards) believed only those well educated (and held land) could run the country properly. This isn't solely an US issue tho. This is seen throughout the world.
comment in response to post
I don't think anyone truly believes the wealthy are caring. It's that ppl here are delusional & think that they too can achieve the American dream of being extremely wealthy so let's not ruin things for them.
comment in response to post
Then the tears can be for that too!
