Keep in mind public land is land owned BY YOU, the taxpayer. Republicans want to sell it off so they can pay for their tax cuts for billionaires and corporations.

If there's one crusty Gen X position I stand by 100% it's order directly from the restaurant. If they don't deliver then get off your ass and go pick it up. Don't let tech bros and their VC backers siphon profits from local businesses.

I don't like linking wapo these days but the story of how this guy is probably going to die because the idiots have cut the staff at NIH and his CAR-T is locked up in a freezer somewhere is beyond the pale.

this was published 2 hours after *I* broke the story thank you very much bsky.app/profile/sara...

There are plenty of ways to criticize the Club World Cup, but Men in Blazers amplifying click bait posts with pictures of an empty Orlando City stadium, taken a couple hours before the scheduled 6 pm kickoff for Ulsan v. Mamelodi Sundowns, reeks of snobbery against non-European leagues.

the lesson of this isn't that tucker carlson is actually good but that you should ask these people basic factual questions instead of bullshit about politics

Winning back-to-back Cups in this cap era is nuts.

If you live in the United States, you are in greater jeopardy today than you were 6 months ago. So is your family. So are your friends & neighbors. Virtually all the important parts of the U.S. government created to protect us are being shut down, gutted, or marginalized. — @djrothkopf.bsky.social

Got to watch Lee Chungyong play for 63 minutes and contribute some neat possession and passes for Ulsan. I am content if this is the third and final time I see him play in person.

Solidarity.

BREAKING: An ex-Loretto Hospital executive stole $300 million through COVID testing schemes, prosecutors said. Former COO Anosh Ahmed was previously charged w/ stealing millions from the safety-net hospital after Block Club’s reporting led to FBI probes. blockclubchi.co/4mXRNem

I had a true soccer sicko moment recognizing former Ulsan striker Junior Negrão in the concourse and nodding hello to him.

Sickos assemble 🤟

Just a typical Tuesday in Orlando

Oh God FIFA is introducing each player individually from both teams out of the tunnel

Not even at the stadium yet and I met a couple Koreans in Ulsan shirts who traveled out here to Florida for this Club World Cup thing.

remember when Bo ended this dude’s life in his last segment on ESPN

They sure are arresting a lot of Democratic politicians these days. I wonder if it's got anything to do with fascism?

not only does this headline just parrot the ramblings of a mad dictator, at no point does the story make it clear that an unprovoked military attack on Iran is both insane and packed with all sorts of deadly, avoidable repercussions I don't know what this shit is, but it isn't journalism

Hi, this is Meg Barnette, Brad's wife. While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE. This is still developing, and our team is monitoring the situation closely.

Arresting an elected public official simply for standing in the hallway of a courthouse and asking legal questions, based on unknown charges.

"A reporter from @thecity.nyc had overheard one agent say to another minutes before Lander’s arrest, 'Do you want to arrest the Comptroller?'"

ICE just arrested Brad Lander, the NYC Comptroller and one of the leading candidates for Mayor, without grounds. He was conducting routine immigration court work, escorting individuals from hearings. He asked ICE for their warrant - well within his legal rights. This is political intimidation.

An interview I applaud @pablo.show for getting: former FTC Chair Lina Khan! I'm getting a lot of questions about their inner workings cleared up for me. Thank You Sir! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljnd...

@pablo.show 10/10, no notes. Lina Kahn needs to be heard from as much as possible. Wish she had her own Bluesky account. I will think of her every time i have an Oreo McFlurry @pablotorrefindsout.bsky.social is by far the best thing going in journalism! Thank you! youtube.com/watch?v=ljnd...

1/2 This is appalling in principle—and shocking in detail, if you Zoom in on specific parcels offered for rush sale. www.wilderness.org/articles/med... Eg (shown in dark green) Forest Service land people use for hiking, camping, horse-riding, general outdoors-ing in San Bernardino Mountains.

Feels like the world is collapsing on itself being back home in Orlando and seeing Ulsan, my favorite K League soccer team, on the local news this morning.

Oppositionally-defiant low-information people riled up by grifter influencers, wellness and political, who made rejection of vaccines an article of right-wing identity during COVID — and who have since rejected efficacious medicine by association, and elected clowns who affirm their delusions.

NEW—After an innocent protester was shot and killed at the Salt Lake City No Kings protest by a “safety volunteer,” @utah50501.bsky.social says they hired team of them based on “military, first responder, other relevant de-escalation experience.” Volunteer who fired gun was a vet. Full statement:

Not reading the NYT (especially today) but Joon's video on this is a good watch. And it's not just the expense it's the fact that just figuring out where to watch is often so much work that the whole system feels designed to intentionally discourage fans. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fgk...

I like Joon's recommendations, but they feel impossible without first addressing the free spending allowed in political donations. Private equity and the richest team owners can just throw money at politicians to ensure there isn't much Governmenr resistance to how they price out sports fans.

The "according to federal workers" at the end of this is sending me. Love how all of these publications which spent the previous 50 years posing as Defenders of Truth and Democracy now can't tell you what day it is unless they can cite a source to distance themselves from it all.

These people use "Christian" as their shield to be the worst people ever, which is why I always try to take that away by referring to them as Protestants.

I forgot Buster Posey is a front office guy now.

The stupidest people are in charge because we couldn’t prosecute a political crime because it would look too political.
