They should do it like the table setting at dining ins…but it should be a Mustang with a Punisher window decal and flashy rims, purchased from a lot outside Gate 1 at 22% interest that’s still accruing to this day…

Maybe a dash of lemon or lemon zest and maybe some fresh parsley, or would that fight with the richness of the sauce? For protein, would it go well with scallops or shrimp?

What are you making? I’m intrigued by the idea of caramelized fennel.

And replace our own legacy inventory while injecting billions into the US defense industrial base.

Assuming you meant ā€œUkraine’s sovereigntyā€ there. I do believe Erdoğan believes as a matter of principle that Russia’s invasion was morally wrong and illegal, but geography and history are powerful factors here.

Because I am grabbing at psychological straws, I would simply like to be pedantic and note that your construction leaves doubt as to whether it is the painting or the museum which holds in slimy control the soul of a 16th century Carpathian warlord.

How are you proposing to pay for all this? Ensuring coherence between domestic and foreign policy also requires a plan for paying for it that doesn’t require permanent and massive deficit spending.

If your feed wasn’t usually like this, it’s probably not an organic shift. You might be being manipulated to become even more strident in your views. Extreme polarization is the goal of at least two foreign influence ops over the past few years.

Do you think it’s possible you might be being intentionally manipulated by a hostile foreign influence operation?

OK, but TBF, there’s a cottage industry and a big part of the CT/Middle East-focused interagency that has been warning since the fall of Raqqa about ā€œan imminent ISIS resurgence,ā€ usually to beg for more $ or to avoid difficult policy decisions. At some point it gets hard to take them seriously.

Al Kut was my only Iraq deployment (vs 6 in Afghanistan), I was only there 2 1/2 months, and ended up getting dysentery 2/3rds of the way through. I actually had my replacement come out early because I felt I was NMC. Absolutely zero good memories of that place.

I don’t think they had that when I was there. What year was that? I was only there for a few months in late ā€˜08, and we mostly kept to our own compound at the edge of the base.

Al Kut for me.

Yeah, that tracks. They were both too far south and too far north at the same time. The Iranians weren’t stupid.
